THREE INJURED AS DIESEL TRUCK CRASHES AT ANAMBRA STATE

Three persons were injured on Friday, 4th September, after a truck laden with diesel crashed at Immigration Junction, along Awka-Enugu express way, Anambra State.

 

The driver, Mr. Prince, reportedly lost control due to fatigue.

He was driving a green/blue Mark Truck with registration number XT 540 APP.

 

According to eyewitnesses a total of (3) male adults who were involved sustained varying degrees of injury and were rushed to (Time to Fort) Hospital Agu-Awka in Awka, by FRSC rescue team from the Sector Command Awka, while obstruction is being cleared. No life was lost.

More so, operatives of the Anambra State Fire service with some State Officials are fully on ground spraying chemicals to neutralize the effect of the spillage of diesel from the truck.

 

The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi who was at the crash scene with some Senior Officers of the Command, wishes the injured victims an accelerated recovery and admonishes drivers who embark on long journeys to endeavor to rest for at least (15) minutes after every (4)hrs drive and also maintain the stipulated speed limit within urban areas in order to avoid road traffic crashes.
