Tinubu Competing With Atiku Abubakar Is An Embarrassment -  Egu

Director General of Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Imo State, Rt Hon Greg Egu has described the presentation of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Almed Tinubu to compete with the PDP standard bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as a huge joke and embarrassment to the country.

Hon Egu wondered why APC could field a sick person to revive a country like Nigeria that is managing to survive under life-support machine, adding that the stage in which the country is moving at does not require an alleged convict of narcotic related crimes to pilot the affairs of the nation.

He gave this warning weekend at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri while addressing newsmen.

According to the Imo PCC Director General, no sane Nigerian is ever dreaming to make same mistake made in 2015 when the current APC administration was elected after it succeeded deceiving the people with falsehood and unsubstantiated propaganda against the PDP.

He said that, Nigerians are still passing through that excruciating effects of the mistake of 2015, advising the people not to allow the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), or any other person or party to deceive them with another lies in order to secure their supports and votes.

Hon Egu therefore challenged Nigerians to recall how the PDP governed the country between 1999 to 2015 and see how things were moving well, adding that cost of living, fuel pump price, economic woes, Dollar-Naira disparity, insecurity, ethnic/tribal crisis including corruption were at the lowest ebb compared to what is happening in Nigeria presently.

He expressed concern that electing the candidate of the APC, Almed Tinubu as President on February 25th, 2023 may likely spill doom in the country where every ethnic/tribal groups are anxious of change, and warned against any act capable of sparking off another dangerous protest in the country.

The former House of Representatives member, therefore charged Nigerians to take their destinies in their hands, noting that 2023 remains another opportunity to correct the battered image and future of country.
