According to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, pre-arrival or post-arrival testing for COVID-19 is no longer required for travelers, “regardless of vaccination status.”
This declaration was made in a letter sent to airline operators by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority on December 12, 2022.
The letter read, “COVID-19 Travel Testing: Pre-departure and post-arrival COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction tests are no longer required for all passengers irrespective of vaccination status. The PCR tests required for all passengers who are partially/not fully vaccinated have been suspended.”
Aside from the suspension of the COVID tests, it was also stated that the use of face masks was no longer required for passengers on board airplanes.
When contacted, Sam Adurogboye, the NCAA’s General Manager Public Affairs, stated, “That is the present situation and development that is at the direction of the Presidential Steering Committee.” They have command of the situation. You can get further information from them.”
