The Twitter handle of Nigeria’s First lady, Aisha Buhari, has been deactivated. This comes hours after the Buhari-led government announced the suspension of the micro-blogging site’s operations in the country.

 

The issues of Twitter in Nigeria began after Twitter deleted a tweet by the Major General Muhammad Buhari, the tweet which threatens the lives of people at the East.

 

According to Twitter, this tweet violates their law as it poses threat to human lives, due to this, the Minister For information and Culture Lai Mohammed had a press conference where he tagged Twitter as double standard and called for their ban.
