The Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Victor Umeh OFR on Sunday awarded University Scholarship to Master Akachukwu Ozugha of Akpu, Abagana in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State, who recently lost his father.
How It Happened: Senator Umeh was at James Anglican Church Abagana for an ‘Annual General Harvest’ on the invitation of the Vicar, Rev’d George O Chieso. When he was about to leave, his eyes caught a woman and her children putting on a white mourning clothes. He went to sympathize and console them.
During a brief discussion with the bereaved family, Senator Umeh awarded university scholarship to Master AkaChukwu Ozugha. He promised to see AkaChukwu become a graduate.

Senator Umeh’s scholarship schemes are still running, producing graduates in various fields.
In 2018, Umeh gave 76 university scholarships to students from Anambra Central Senatorial District from less privileged homes. He continued paying all their fees despite not being in the Senate. Today, over 60 students have graduated.
