GREATEST UNIBEN STUDENTS

We bring you heartwarming & solidarity greetings in the name of the struggle!

We sincerely apologize for the long communication gap that has existed between the union and the entire students for a very long time now and the colossal failure that our administration has recorded so far.

This is largely due to the fact that forces and circumstances beyond our control practically crippled and reduced our powers to the extent that we became helpless & incapacitated and as a result, led to our silence in office but we happily wish to inform you that from now henceforth all information concerning the welfare of all the students will be disseminated to you all pro actively.

It is no doubt that our favorite June 12 has been set for evacuation and demolition by the management.

However, we bring you all goodnews as the Students Union Executive Council have communicated and pleaded with our amiable loving, understanding, students friendly and compassionate Vice Chancellor for the management to give us an opportunity to carryout a possible reconstruction, rehabilitation & proper structuring of the June 12 Building and its Mami Market in such a way that it would not destroy the sources of livelihood of the occupants, like parents & some students like us, who sells goods and render services to feed & pay their bills like school fees & house rents and our ever loving Vice Chancellor promised to get back to us once She consults & deliberates with the Senate and Council Members on the issue. Therefore we await positive response.

We want to reassure you that the Students Union Executive Council will do everything within their powers to consolidate this new management’s efforts in making sure that the interest of all UNIBEN STUDENTS come FIRST in every administrative & academic aspect of the Great & Prestigious University of Benin.

Meanwhile, we have carefully observed and noticed that with the few days(20days) Professor Mrs Lilian Imuetinyan Salami in office, the University of Benin is gradually returning back to its original state, as almost every nuke and cranny of University of been is currently being maintained & kept clean, unlike before when cows have graze on our field for the grasses to be cleared but our capable mother is showing positive signs that she is equal to the task and challenge of restoring the old glory of the institution by employing both human and technological resources to seeing that all the grasses cut down, every Bus Stop put in a good condition and sanity brought back to the system.

Furthermore, all Students (both Freshers & Staylites) are advised to resume on the 6th & 19th respectively & not spend much time at home due to the face that the Management is doing everything possible in making sure that they use adequately fumigate & renovate all the hostels/ Class rooms in both Ugbowo & Ekehuan Campuses respectively for the comfortability of UNIBEN STUDENTS.

Also, the National Sports Festival will provide an avenue for infrastructural development & also ensure that students get golden opportunities to explore their sporting potentials and talents that would in turn benefit them & their families & also favour the image & reputation of our institution.

We also use this medium to apologize for the stress that the Two Months nonacademic activities may cause for all our students.

Lastly, We want to promise the entire students that we are willing & ready to serve you all without fear or favour as this New administration is very student friendly and utilitarian in nature that will in turn make UNIBEN BETTER, HABITABLE & GREATER for both her Students and Staff.
