The Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have assured supporters that there should be no panicking as his second tenure bid is a done deal.
Obaseki who spoke exclusively to ORHION FM over the phone confirmed the popular knowledge in Edo that a performing governor surely deserves a second term to consolidate on the gains of his first term.
It is no longer news that President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed satisfaction with Governor Obaseki’s achievements and style of governance in Edo hence has thrown his weight behind his second term bid.
The support of the Progressives Governors Forum which has become public knowledge in the past few days has also projected the governor as an indispensable factor in re-tooling governance across states led by the APC.
As the intrigues associated with a vibrant democracy continue to take centre stage in public discourse, most analyst have aligned with the popular belief that Governor Godwin Obaseki’s re-election is constant as the Northern star.
