We are not scared of Golden Eaglets – Captain Lopez

Ecuador goalkeeper and captain, Joan Lopez, said his team is battle ready for Tuesday, 29th’s FIFA U-17 World Cup Group B clash against the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria at the Goiania Olimpico Stadium, Goiania Brazil.

 

The South Americans got their campaign to flying start with a hard fought 2-1 win against Australia on Saturday, 26th October.

 

Los Negriazules will face a stiffer test against the Golden Eaglets who edged out Hungary 4-2 in their opening game also on Saturday.

 

Lopez however believes that his side will be up to the challenge against one of the tournament’s favorites.

 

“We have all been working together within the national team for a year now in this cycle,” Lopez told FIFA.com.”

 

“We all have an excellent understanding of each other and are prepared for whatever comes our way.”

 

The Nigeria – Ecuador clash will kick off at 9pm Nigerian time on Tuesday, 29th, October.
