Most of those taking the challenge are women and are wilding with their raunchiest moves and some parental guidance is needed as they capture women showing off their curvy frames.

And, no the trend is not just on twitter but also on other social media platforms based on the policy.

So what exactly is the #SilhoutteChallenge and why are people into it?

The challenge is a dance challenge (mostly for ladies, although some men have jumped on it) to a 1987 son titled ‘Put Your Head On My Shoulder’ by Paul Anka.

Basically, the Silhouette Challenge sees users pose seductively in a doorway before quickly turning into a completely black silhouette against a red background.

It is actually not about the song but the dance routine which focuses on stripping naked when you get to the line “put your hands on my should..” as it transitions from Anka’s song to Doja Cats’ 2019 song, ‘Streets’.

And of course, when it gets to the transition, the video transitions from the original recording to a silhouette (hence the #SilhoutteChallenge) as the dancer dances naked under red lights.

The Vin Rouge filter: How to Find and Use it

Also known as the Red Filter, the Vin Rouge Filter is an effect that turns your whole camera screen red, making it seem as though it’s actually been lit up by real red studio lights.

If you want to have a go at the Silhouette Challenge, here’s how to find the Vin Rouge Filter. You’re going to need to head over to Snapchat and find the Vin Rouge filter on there.

To find the Vin Rouge filter, open Snapchat and hit the camera screen, then click on the smiley face to the right-hand side of the camera button to browse filters.

Then, press ‘explore’ next to the browse feature and type ‘vin rouge’. Et voila! Time to get filming. Make sure you’re wearing form-fitting clothes to really emphasise your silhouette for the second half of the video.

For the challenge, you’ll need one video of yourself standing in a doorway which ends in the same body position you start with in the second video, the one using the Vin Rouge filter. It’s all about the seamless transition.

Again,

  • Open Snapchat and head to the camera screen.
  • Click on the smiley face icon to the right-hand side of the camera button.
  • Then, press ‘explore’ in the bottom right-hand corner.
  • In the search bar, type ‘vin rouge’.
  • Click on the filter and it will be applied.

HOW TO DO THE SILHOUETTE CHALLENGE ON TIKTOK
The Silhouette Challenge requires a very specific set of steps to make it work, especially for Tiktok.

  • First, find a doorway that you can film in.
  • Then, stand in front of it and film the first part of the video. Wear normal clothes and film in full lightning.
  • Now, it’s time to do the silhouette section.
  • For this, you actually need to film the clip on Snapchat and apply a filter called ‘Vin Rouge’.
  • Then, turn off all the lights apart from one light in the room behind you.
This should make you look like a silhouette. Make sure you wear tight fitting clothes to add to the effect.
  • Now all you need to do is save both clips to your camera roll and edit them both together.
  • Then, add the Put Your Head on My Shoulder sound.
  • Now you should be ready to post your TikTok.

Is the Silhouette Challenge Devilish?

Many have spoken against the Silhouette Challenge but not many have written but here is what a Twitter user has to say about its spiritual side.

The Twitter user, @giddywillz says, “the silhouette challenge is not good and it is devilish. It originated in 1814, from Edo State, Nigeria. It is a demon that possesses the mind of whoever sees her dancing.”

“Now she plans to return back to the whole world through social media. If you’ve started watching the challenge already. Stop as soon as you see this. If you’ve partaken in the Challenge, run to River Jordan in any possible way you can now for cleansing. Avoid #silhouettechallenge”

Well others thinks, its another seal from Lucifer broken through entertainment.
