Nigerian recording artiste, Olamide Adedeji has cautioned those who keep soliciting for funds from him.
The record executive has admonished those begging him for money to take their demands to God.
In a post via Twitter, the Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) record label boss said everyone who has a problem should call God and not him.
Olamide wrote:
“lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata ʾillā bi-llāhi l-ʿaliyyi l-ʿaẓīmi (There is no power nor strength except by Allah the Lofty, the Great). If you got a problem call God oh !
If you get business holla me”
Olamide Gbenga Adedeji is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive.
He has been referred to as one of the most influential artists in Africa, he has been instrumental to the launching of the careers of several Afrobeats music stars.
He records in Yoruba and English.
Equally important, Olamide created YBNL Records in 2012 after parting ways with ID Cabasa’s ‘Coded Tunez’. In the ten years of its existence, YBNL has gone on to become one of Nigeria’s leading record labels.
In 2022, he added Senth to his record label. The youngster will be joining Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, and Asake who are among the talents who have signed with YBNL.
The label is still home to superstar Fireboy DML who has released three albums under its imprint and who has become one of the Afrobeats major exports. Also, Asake signed to the label in 2021 and since then, he has gone on to enjoy an unprecedented debut year.
Meanwhile, the YBNL boss Olamide has announced that he’s currently mixing and mastering his next album. The rapper who revealed this in a Twitter interaction with a fan, however stopped short at giving a timeframe for the release.
The fan in response to a tweet by Olamide asked; “Shey you go drop album or you no go drop” to which Olamide responded with “Mixing and mastering as we speak.”
The upcoming project will be Badoo’s 10th studio album and it comes as a pleasant surprise for his fans.
