Why Independent Leaders Forum (ILF) is Against Dr. Godwin Maduka

DR. GODWIN MADUKA CAMPAIGN OFFICE’s ATTACK ON ILF ‘S INTEGRITY:

WE INSIST THAT PDP DISQUALIFIES DR. GODWIN MADUKA, NOT ONLY FOR VIOLATING THE FORUM OF ASPIRANTS AGREEMENT, ALSO FAILURE TO PRODUCE HIS NYSC CERTIFICATE

  1. Our attention has been drawn to an online publication authored by One “Engr. Obinna Okafor, Head Media & Strategic Communications to Dr. Godwin Maduka”, where he labelled ILF as “desperate politicians”, among other unpleasant names.

  1. We the members of Independent Leaders Forum (ILF) reject and condemn the label of “desperate politicians” by Dr. Godwin Maduka campaign office. Members of ILF are not “Desperate” – we are ‘Entrepreneurs, Artisans, Professionals and Young’ politicians, duly registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission. Our major interest is to ensure that PDP members remain united at both pre/post primary election, which is a major tool for us to win the November 6, 2021 scheduled gubernatorial election.

  1. After careful study of the publication, Dr. Godwin Maduka indicted himself and vindicated ILF by stating that “Dr. Godwin Mmaduka’s Foundation gave tokens to delegates who visited the NGO’s office, while Dr. Godwin Maduka gave #3,000 as agreed by the party”. We challenge Dr. Godwin Maduka campaign office to explain what they meant by “token”?

  1. For emphasis, Sen. Uche Ekwunife convened a meeting on Monday, June 7, 2021, after the meeting of ‘Forum of Aspirants’ on Sunday, June 6, 2021, she gave the delegates the agreed amount, while Dr. Godwin Maduka invited some delegates the same day and grossly violated the agreement. If a serving Senator can keep to an Agreement reached by the Aspirants, who and what is the position of Dr. Maduka in PDP to violate the Agreement, and believe he is untouchable?

  1. It is sad and unfortunate that Dr. Godwin Mmaduka’s campaign office would, because of politics, arrogantly call his Co-Aspirants “emergency philanthropist” and the party delegates “indigent”, which Oxford dictionary defines as “poor and needy”.

  1. Perhaps, because he believes so much in “money politics” – obviously, that is why he has not campaigned on what he would offer Ndi Anambra if given the PDP ticket, except sharing money.

  1. It is a fact that Dr. Mmaduka did not present his NYSC certificate during the screening. Probably, his belief in “money politics” was the reason he scaled through the screening.

  1. Finally, we would stop at nothing to ensure that Dr. Godwin Maduka is disqualified for grossly violating an agreement by the Aspirants and not presenting his NYSC certificate, whereas he presented university certificates – regardless that WAEC is the minimum academic requirement.

“Philanthropy can never equate Governance”!
