A 54-year old woman, Mrs. Christiana Otukogbe, who reportedly recruited herself into the Nigeria Police Force and operated in that capacity over the years, has finally been arrested for impersonation in Lagos State.
The suspect, according to P.M.EXPRESS was arrested by the Police at Ipaja Division.
The woman, Christiana Otukogbe ran into trouble after the Police went to Maborukose Street in Ipaja to arrest a criminal suspect, Samson Francis, who is her grandchild; she then aided his escape, thereby obstructed the Police from performing their duty.
When the information got to the DPO, CSP Tokumbo Aboniwonda, he directed Christiana to meet with him in order to know why she would obstruct officers on duty whereas she was a Police woman.
It was during interrogation that it was discovered that she was not a genuine Police officer.
A Police uniform, which she obtained to perform her illegal duties, was recovered as an exhibit after her house was searched.
She eventually confessed that she was not a genuine Police officer despite the fact that she had worked in many places as an officer.
