Wura Mi – ILORI .M. OLUWATOSIN – #MothersDay
Òrìsà bí ìyá òsì l’aiye
Bẹẹni sí ní iwọ nìkan
ní òrùn mí l’aiye
As fowls lay egg, you
laid me to earth; may
my life never be like
that offsprings of bird
I am ignorance of the
tales before my arrival,
all I know you strive
hard for my survival
When you groan in
pain, I still feed on your
breast like grains
Ogbè mí sínú fún osù
mésàn, ọ tún pọn mí
fún ọdún mẹta tí
tóun ogún awọn ọta
Ìwo ní ọ jẹ kín jìn sí
òfin aiyé, bẹẹni ọ jẹ
kín má pé aiyé gángan
ní òun jẹ aiyé
No words can express
my gratitude, for ages
you’ve been my
servitude; why on earth
I won’t appreciate you
Mámi wà pé l’aiye,
bẹẹni wà jẹun ọmọ
l’aiye
You’ll not labour in
vain as you’ll gain
and not be restrain
Happy mother’s day.
