ADC NWC DISSOLVES EDO STATE EXCO AND APPOINTS CARETAKER/TRANSITION COMMITTEE

The National Working Committee (NWC) of African Democratic Congress (ADC) have dissolved its Executive Committee (exco) in Edo State.

 

This was contained in a press release signed by the National Chairman of ADC, Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu and National Secretary, Alhaji Said Baba Abdullahi.


The exco was dissolved due to non payment of membership dues for over 6months.

 

They have therefore inaugurated a caretaker committee consisting –

1. Hon. Christopher Inegbedion – Chairman
2.Rev. Omiunu Sunday Jegbefumere -Deputy Chairman
3. Hon. Charles Imotiyan – Secretary
4. Hon. Mrs. May Oboh – Women Leader
5. Comrade Timothy A. Aremu- Publicity Secretary
6. Hon. (Engr.) Alex Omoniyile – Organising Sec.
7. Hon. (Engr.) Iyen – Treasurer
8. Hon.Napoleon Bernald Iyare – Legal Adviser
9. Hon. Douglas Imariagbon – Youth Leader

ADC NWC DISSOLVES EDO STATE EXCO AND APPOINTS CARETAKER/TRANSITION COMMITTEE

1. Pursuant to Article 13, Section 14 (IV) of the Constitution of the African Democratic Congress, and for non payments of Membership dues by most of its members for upwards of more than 6months, the National Working Committee hereby dissolves the Edo State Executive Committee.


2. This dissolution takes immediate effect.

 

3. The NWC has also approved the appointment of a Caretaker/Transition Committee.

 

4. The members are:

1. Hon. Christopher Inegbedion – Chairman
2.Rev. Omiunu Sunday Jegbefumere -Deputy Chairman
3. Hon. Charles Imotiyan – Secretary
4. Hon. Mrs. May Oboh – Women Leader
5. Comrade Timothy A. Aremu- Publicity Secretary
6. Hon. (Engr.) Alex Omoniyile – Organising Sec.
7. Hon. (Engr.) Iyen – Treasurer
8. Hon.Napoleon Bernald Iyare – Legal Adviser
9. Hon. Douglas Imariagbon – Youth Leader

 

5. The Caretaker/Transition Committee is empowered to co-opt any member/s in carrying out their work.

 

6. The Committee is empowered with the constitutional powers of the State Working Committee as contained in the ADC 2018 Constitution.


7. The Committee is empowered with the Constitutional powers to dissolve any errant LGA or Ward Council executive committee and reconstitute same.

 

8. The Committee shall midwife the reconstitution of the State/Local/Ward Executive Committee.

 

9. The date of the State Congress shall be communicated in due course.
