Mike Bamidele wants Osun Govt. to declare Pentecost Day Public Holiday

The General Overseer of Victory Chapel International, Osogbo, Bishop Mike Bamidele has called on the Osun State government to declare Pentecost Day as a public holiday.

Bishop Bamidele made this call on Thursday, 21st May, during a press conference to celebrate 2020 Pentecost Day held in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

He said since the government has been celebrating Hijirah day and Iseese day yearly in Osun, it would be fair if Pentecost Day is also declared a public holiday.

Bishop Mike Bamidele added that since the Pencecost Day was the 50 days after Jesus resurrection, it should be declared as a public holiday for the sake of fairness and justice.

About Coronavirus, the Bishop declared that no pastor can predict the end of it, saying that “it’s an evil from hell fire”.

He said those who had predicted the end of the pandemic before but had their prediction unrealized should check the spirit they are operating with.

“I do not know the kind of spirit those who predicted the end of the virus are operating with but for me, an end has come to the virus the day Jesus died on the cross,” the bishop said.

Mike Bamidele concluded that only God’s intervention can bring an end to the virus, asking people to exercise faith in Him and seek his intervention.

“There is no specific date the virus will end but the day any man is healed by exercising faith in God, that is the day the virus will end.”
