Buhari Lifting 100m Nigerians From Poverty

The Federal Government has reiterated the commitment of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to lifting over 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in 10 years.

It also said the administration will leave a legacy of accountability, transparency and openness in government through an Open Government Partnership (OGP).

The Minister for State Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, disclosed this on Monday in Abuja at the capacity building training for aides of Ministers steered by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).

“As far as I am aware, this is the first time in the history of this country that all the aides of ministers have been brought together after their appointments for a capacity- building training, skills development and enhancement programme.

“This training could not have come at a more auspicious time than now that the Federal government is the process of developing a new Medium- Term National Development plan (MTNDP) 2021-2025 and Nigeria agenda 2050 across all sectors.”

The Permanent Secretary, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Olushola Idowu, said the programme is outstanding as it was well planned and executed.

The KAS Country Representative, Dr. Vladimir Kreck said the four week training was aimed at building participants’ knowledge in high specialized areas of law and justice as well as developing their technical knowledge of judicial administration.
