Delta NUJ Election 2020: We’re poised to giving directional leadership Chairmanship candidate Oyowe declares

 – As P.R.I.Z.E team got endorsed in Warri, assured of massive votes

 

As the race to who becomes the next elected chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) continues, one of the Chairmanship candidates, Comrade Churchill Oyowe on behalf of the team has assured of giving directional leadership that will benefit all members of the Union if elected chairman to pilot the affairs of the apex Delta NUJ body.

 

Comrade Oyowe made the declaration Thursday June 25, 2020 during the team’s campaign at Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri and Ministry of Information Field Information Chapel , adding that they are highly poised to delivering quality leadership with great understanding of plight of all members and will carry all along always.

 

The team which is with the acronym P.R.I.Z.E Team meaning Professionalism, Resource Development, Investment Drive, Zealous Corporate Relationship & Empowerment , they promised to setup newspaper that will give Delta NUJ Council a voice as well as in first three months of assuming office sponsor a compendium without collecting any money from members and do it at ease for all members.

 

While soliciting for votes from DBS Warri Correspondents’ Chapel and Ministry of information field Chapel both in Warri , Comrade Oyowe presented other contesting candidates to include Comrades Victor Sorokwu for Vice Chairman, Deacon Patrick Ochei for Secretary, Thelma Eliogu going for Assistant Secretary and Balogun Mabamije he appealed for votes to all candidates Standing in for different offices as any votes cast will be a vote for accountability, respect , capacity competence among others.

The team were also endorsed during their campaign tour by the congress of Ministry of Information Field Chapel with a motion moved by Comrade Goldpin Alex Ebiseni and seconded by members of the chapel praised the P.R.I.Z.E team for their Professionalism and for fielding candidates from diverse chapels which is for the good of the Delta NUJ Council without marginalising any chapel which in turn will attract unity vote for the betterment of the union.

 

The Chairmanship candidate disclosed that they will set up ethics and disciplinary committee to take care of professional and unethical display , enhancement of capacity through training and retraining, just as he promised at the long run of opening of a radio station as possible in order to engage some members of the state NUJ.

 

Chairman of DBS Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, Comrade Sonia Unobunjo with its Secretary, Comrade John Glover and members of DBS Warri Chapel as well as top management staff were in attendance during the campaign visit , while at the Field Information Chapel in Warri Acting Chairman, Comrade Ologide and their enter exco at the Congress and campaign overwhelmingly showered encomium on the team and unanimously assured of voting massively for the P.R.I.Z.E Team after their unanimous endorsement come July 2, 2020.
