OBASANJO’S ADOPTION OF ADC (Association of Desperate Crooks) IS A COMPLETE DISTRACTION FOR OUR YOUNG DEMOCRACY AND ITS DEAD ON ARRIVAL.

First and foremost, permit me to set the record straight. This is not a rejoinder neither am out to join issue with our elder statesman Dr. Olusegun Obasanjo.

It gives me deep concern each time I see my fellow compatriots heed to the ulterior advice from those that plunged us into the problems we are all facing today. Is it that we are forgetful or we have given up on our fate as a nation with focus?

Englishman says, once beaten, twice shy but that is not the case with my people, its a case of several beaten and forever naïve with my countrymen and women.

Like I have always maintained, nothing happens by a happenstance, calling for Coalition for Nigeria is a calculated antics by the past President to take us backward. Its an act of disrespect for the existing political parties especially for PDP that is consolidating on gains and experience. It then means he doesn’t keep faith in those political parties recognized by extant laws of Nigeria and no member of these parties stand a chance of correcting the abnormalities in Nigeria except for his toy project called Coalition for Nigeria.

We must be consistent in order to make meaningful development. Being consistent does not depict complacence or being flippant on our part. We should be able to carry out monitoring and evaluation on our young democracy by holding the existing political parties accountable.

The owner of Democracy (United States of America) we copied didn’t fold their hands, they made frantic efforts to achieve all what they have today. Coalition was never one of them.

The call for Coalition for Nigeria is like a doctor who is fixated on treating symptoms rather than the causative organisms responsible for the ailment. Obasanjo has misfired before aiming at the target. He is allowed to re-aim again if he desires a virile democracy for Nigeria.

Its time for Nigerians to advice themselves, because nobody advises you like yourself. Let’s forfeit the temporary pleasure that comes with jumping ships for the sake of the future. Let’s not tinker with the future of the next generation because of our impatience and inability to confront the challenges head on. If Obasanjo must call for anything, it should be how we must unite and dislodge the ruling party APC, their incompetence stinks to high heaven.

To all Nigerian youths, the ball is now in our court, what we do with the ball is entirely our decision but it must not be an own-goal against us.

To this end, I want to encourage those that have not gotten their permanent voters card PVC to do so. By doing so, you have shown your undiluted patriotism and love for Nigeria.

This too will pass away, New Nigeria will be born through consolidation of our Democracy and not through Coalition of any sort.

God bless Nigeria.
