The governor noted, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Chief Evelyn Igbafe, a chieftain of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State and former Executive Director, Poverty Alleviation and Women Mobilisation.
“A dedicated and loyal party leader, late Igbafe was a great supporter of our government’s policies and programmes.
“She worked assiduously for a better society, contributing her quota to the development of her community and the state.
