The “Class 92” of Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS), Onitsha, was elated to see each other after a long period after hospitality entrepreneur and socialite, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, hosted his former secondary classmates in Abuja on Friday, 8th April, 2022.
This is the second set of hosting after the last at his home town in Anambra state.
Obi Cubana hosted the reunion party for his secondary school classmates, 30 years after they graduated.
The chairman of the Cubana group took to his Instagram page on Friday, April 8 to share photos from the reunion, which was held in his mansion.
The billionaire also donated a whopping sum of N2 million each to 20 of them who needed assistance.
Sharing the photos, he wrote,
“My Secondary School classmates are here!! The DMGS C92 Reunion 2022, 30yrs after!! Glad to have u guys around….let’s have maximum fun!!!”
Recall that Obi Cubana had promised his classmates a platform for reunion as they make 30 years after they graduated from secondary school.
Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) is the first grammar school in Igbo land and has one of the most powerful alumni in Nigeria. Obi Cubana graduated from the school in 1992 and has maintained good contact with some of his classmates most of them he has helped in business. So as they clock 30 this year, he felt it is a great opportunity to reunite with his secondary school friends and see areas he could help some of them attain their life goals.
A class reunion allows you to reconnect with old friends, reminisce about your school days, and celebrate with people you may not have seen in years. Obinna Iyiegbu knows the importance of this reunion.
The nightlife king, Obi Cubana, paid for flight tickets, hotel reservations and feeding of all the former classmates that graced the reunion.
