RACISM AND STATISM: George Floyd & Ebuka as Case Study

RACISM AND STATISM: George Floyd & Ebuka as Case Study

I will again sound controversial, while many would wobble in their imagination to claim I’m a clout chaser, whichever it is, I’m comfortable.

I have read tales of sympathy, protest and lots of emotional writes in support of George Floyd who like many, was another victim of the pink man absurdity for being different in skin colour, due to mere geographical location and few other factors, not because the pink man is more human than the other.

George Floyd died like many other blacks in the midst of the pink people; George is no special human, but the manner they murdered him has since triggered discussions and condemnation from fellow blacks.

For me, it goes beyond George and the blacks in America; a good number of blacks die recklessly in their own country home more than in the pink’s man territory yet we care less of it only to pour out emotions on the death of Floyd in a craze attempt of playing to the gallery.

While you fight for justice for Goerge Floyd, have you for once thought it wise to speak up a little for the over five Hundred (500) persons who die quarterly as a result of local police, vigilante and government misdoings, reckless actions and inactions?

Is George Floyd more human than #Ebuka who died in the hands of the Nigeria police at Nkpor whom till date, his justice has been shortchanged, and his parents left to suffer their own Casualty of racism and statism.

I read many who condemned the racism in America, I laughed uncontrollably how one intend to dictate to a pink man who prides self as God how he should live in his space whilst same man who condemns such, supports Statism in his own locality.

Like George Floyd, Ebuka was murdered by the police and his justice shortchanged due to Statism; he was thought a lesser human than the young man who was murdered in same manner at Enugwu-ukwu, all blacks.

I have waited for same people who condemned the killing of George Floyd to flood the internet with protest for Ebuka, but None because he’s not from Anambra State.

You heard George scream “I can’t breath” “They’re going to kill me”, what could have been the last words of Ebuka 😢 whom his country failed.

Hypocrisy is the mother of all evil, there’s No way you can condemn Racism in America but feels safe to support Same Racism and Statism in Africa; let the protest begin at home.

Those calling for Trump’s head over the death of George are same preserving that of Gov. Willie Obiano and other loquacious and misfit leaders in Africa for the same Racism and Statism.

Justice shouldn’t be served or protested for, based on favoritism but for humanity.

We must first place value on the life of the black man back home before calling on the pink man to do same, anything else is a craze and efforts in futility.

Like George Floyd, Ebuka and other lives matters.
