SEDI director and security protocol shot dead by unknown gunmen 

The Director of Scientific Equipment Development Institute, SEDI, Enugu, Prof. Simon Ndubuisi, has been reportedly assassinated at Centenary junction along the Port Harcourt/Enugu Express Way.

According to multiple reports, Professor Ndubuisi was ambushed by unknown armed men on Wednesday afternoon and his SUV was riddled with bullets which led to an accident. Unfortunately, he was hit alongside his police orderly.

 

They were rushed to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) where they were pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel. The Executive Governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has already visited the scene of the accident.

 

This is coming barely 48 hours after the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AutoEase Service Limited, Ifeanyi Okeke was also assassinated by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in the presence of his eight-year-old son.

 

 

“Information surrounding a shooting incident today, 07/07/2021 at about 1600hrs, along Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway, said to have led to the death of a man and his police orderly, is still sketchy.

 

Meanwhile, preliminary investigation has commenced. Further development  is said to be communicated once gotten .
