Ogun Govt. Embraces CBT For Recruitment

The Ogun state Civil Service Commission has adopted Computer Based Test, CBT for its recruitment owing to its merit based processes which gives no room for mediocrity to thrive.

 

Speaking with newsmen during the exercise, held at the 500-seater ICT centre, FUNAAB, Alabata, Abeokuta, Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi said the in line with its statutory responsibilities, the commission organised the CBT to recruit officers into vacant positions in the Health Ministry, Data processing Officers into the Local Government as well as Auditors to complement and strengthen the existing workforce in the State Audit.

 

“This examination is peculiar for some professionals like Auditors, Pharmacist, Nursing, Science Labouratory Technologist and very many others as well as general duties for those working under Administration.

“In Ogun state we do not make sensational recruitment but employ only when there is demand, so that people will not just be employed for no justification but on purposes.” Odebunmi said.

 

Engr. Odebunmi, in a statement signed by the Commission’s Press Officer, Mrs. Funmi Onafowope, indicated that the recruitment was meant to pass three phases; the computer based test, extended interview and the final stage being the oral interview.

 

In their separate responses, Mr. Adelanwa Razaq and Miss. Oyolola Maria hailed the state government and the organisers of the exercise, saying the exercise was an eye opener for the newly employees and for those seeking for jobs with the state government, as well as the arrangements and atmosphere were so conducive.
