Shehu Sani: What would’ve happened if Ayu resigned before elections

Shehu Sani has asked Northern Governors to blast the Kankara tragedy as they blasted the #EndSARS protest.

During the EndSARS Protest that rocked the nation, leaders and governors of Northern Nigeria were fully against. Some even sponsored protesters who bannered ‘we want SARS’, while one led a ‘massive warning’.

Reacting Senator Shehu Sani says –

He called out the chairman of the Northern Governor’s Forum (NGF) to blast the Kankara tragedy as they blasted the #EndSARS protest.

Also recall that the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Simon Lalong during the #EndSARS saga condemned the protest. The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai was also quoted saying, “We praise our youths for not succumbing to be used by those who have agenda against the government.”

The former senator also opined that like other sad news, the Kankara attack is a result of the inefficiency of the persons charged with the responsibility of securing lives.

“How our intelligence and security systems can easily intercept and pick up #EndSARS protesters and critics, but unable to prevent or track the movement of hundreds of abducted students is baffling.

“When mortal leaders portray themselves as infallible messiahs or magicians, history has a way of giving them the time and opportunity to prove, disprove or disgrace themselves.”

The outspoken former federal lawmaker via his official Twitter handle further expressed displeasure over the number of controversies that have ensued from the abduction of the Kankara boys.

“Whenever people are killed or kidnapped, the next comes disagreements in figures of the casualties or victims; even if its one, it’s still a tragedy resulting from failure of duty to protect or prevent; And that calls for empathy and action.” He tweeted.

The bandits had on Friday, December 11, invaded the Katsina school and abducted hundreds of students around 11 pm.

Following the ugly incident, relevant authorities had given conflicting figures regarding the number of students who are still in captivity of the bandits as search and rescue operations continue.

On Monday, the Presidency and the Kastina State government started.
