Youthful Fuji Academy are the First Casualty of the ongoing Maiden Edition Of CSO Champion’s League after Ultimate Fc sent them out of the Competition in the first Match of the Tournament on Sunday 15th October 2023 at the Holy Trinity Primary School Field in Lokoja.

The Youthful Fuji Academy showed glimpse and flashes of good football artistry early in the opening half of the game and were rewarded with a goal early in the first half.

They however went back into their shell and allowed the more physical and experienced Ultimate Fc to run riot and were almost running away with a 3-1 score before Fuji worked up from their slumber and levelled proceedings to the admiration of their teeming Supporters and fans.

In the ensuing Penalty Shootout, Ultimate Fc converted 4 of their spot kick while Fuji Academy also had 4 of their kick neatly converted and would have taken the day before they blew away the last Chance. The penalty shootout stretched into extra and Ultimate Fc punished the young Fuji lads to proceed to the next round of the Competition.

It was the turn of Kabawa United Fc on Monday afternoon and they left no stone unturned in their quest to prove to bookmakers and soccer lovers that they are one of the tournament favourites as they whitewashed Ultimate Soccer Fc 4-1 to the Jubilation of their teeming Supporters and fans.

Ultimate Soccer Fc fired the first salvo when Abdul Sadiq open score for Ultimate Soccer Fc in the early minutes of the game. Hat trick hero Mohammed Danjuma drew Kabawa United levelled almost immediately with a perfect finishing and followed it up moments later with a powerful header from a left flank cross.

The game became one sided in the second half as Ultimate Soccer Fc were completely subdued with the likes of Mohammed Danjuma and Milito running riot in the opponent’s Comfort zone and it wasn’t long before Mohammed Danjuma completed his hat trick to hand Kabawa United a perfect start to the Competition.

Coach Danasabe of Kabawa United said his boys were able to deliver on a day it mattered most due to their ability to key into his game plan. He applauded the Organizers led by Micheal Olachene Itodo for putting up the Competition which has drawn Soccer lovers and football enthusiasts in Lokoja to Holy Trinity Primary School. He also showered encomiums on the Chief Security Officer to the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Abdulmalik Suleiman for his foresight and immense contributions to the development of Football in the State.
