Education as we all know is the root of societal development. We cannot be where we are today without education. Therefore, education should be given the best attention that it deserves.
Taking a look at Dr. Godwin Maduka’s exposition. He is a worthy leader and education has placed him on the path of glory and honour. He passed through so many levels of education both home and abroad. He understands the impact of education in our dear society.
Okosisi being a visionary leader has done a lot as regards to enhancement of education in our society.
As an individual, Dr. Godwin Maduka was able to build state-of-the-art schools in his community from primary to secondary level. It is on record that no governorship aspirant has been able to beat his record of achievements.
Expectedly, students from different parts of Anambra currently enjoy conducive academic environment as a result of the magnanimity of Dr. Godwin Maduka, the Lion of Africa.
As a triple Professor, Dr. Godwin Maduka has given out hundreds of scholarships to deserving students and scholars, including Reverend Fathers, Reverend Sisters, Anglican Clergies and Pastors. Brilliant children from poor backgrounds, especially children of widows and widowers as well as orphans have benefited from Dr. Godwin Maduka’s generosity.
These attributes are in line with the education policy of Dr. Godwin Maduka.
“Upon my emergence as Governor of Anambra State we shall introduce mandatory free basic education through our social welfare leadership system. The government of Anambra under my leadership shall go into partnership with major State actors such as Churches and other academic stakeholders as well as private Investors to enforce free education at both primary and secondary school levels.
At tertiary levels, my government through proper legislation shall subsidize the cost of school fees by 50% for the benefits of all Anambra indigenes in all tertiary institutions.
Technical colleges will not only be re-equipped, but advanced to start fabricating complex machineries.”
According to Dr. Godwin Maduka “we can achieve these in a society free of corruption, as we are committed to making sure that ndi Anambra enjoy the benefits of quality education.
Dr.Godwin Maduka is a frontline PDP governorship aspirant for Anambra State 2021.
