FG Guidelines: Osun to meet with Religious Leaders

The State Government of Osun is set to meet with religious leaders across the State to work out the modalities for the reopening of worship centres.

This follows the new set of directives and guidelines issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria in a new phase of the easing of lockdown, which takes effect from June 2nd 2020.

In a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation for the State of Osun, Mrs Funke Egbemode, the meeting with religious leaders becomes imperative to ensure proper implementation of the new set of guidelines.

The statement read in part: “While we appreciate the patience of the citizens of the State of Osun so far, we are using this medium to urge citizens and residents not to be too anxious to assert the liberties contained in the new guidelines, so that we do not lose the gains that we have made over the last few weeks.”
