Igwe Ogbunike: Oganiru Ogbunike demands apology from Nnamdi Kanu

Over the accusation by Nnamdi Kanu of Igwe Ositadimma Ogbunike selling a communal land belonging to Ogbunike Kingdom to the Fulanis, ‘legs have trekked and phones have made more calls’ in Anambra State.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu allegedly accused Igwe Ositadimma Ogbunike and the President General of Ogbunike, Comrade Chigozie Ikegulu, of allegedly selling lands belonging to Ogbunike to the Fulani Herdsmen for settlement.

The Oganiru Ogbunike (Stakeholders body of Ogbunike Kingdom) have strongly debunk this accusation, saying its a lie, therefore demanding apology from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“This despicable and denigrateful allegation is not only mendacious, but a repugnant to reality and we fervently believe, that it’s only a compound fool, people devoid of scruples and delusional simpletons that can patronize or believe such heart sequestrating allegation,” they say.

The group also wants the public to note that the Kingdom has no communal land (meaning it could have been an individual), making it impossible for the Igwe or any other person – since there is no general land to sell –  adding that the community has never witnessed such in its history.

“It is imperative and instructive to note, that Ogbunike Community has no communal land and neither do the Igwe Ogbunike and the President General have any power of attorney to access or sell for themselves or on-behalf of the good people of Ogbunike, any land owned by the villages, kindreds, families or individuals;

It is pretty on record too, that Ogbunike has never recorded such development in her history and will never witness same.”

The Oganiru Ogbunike is therefore asking the general public to ignore Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s, saying its a “fallacious allegation”.

They therefore demand an open apology from him.

RE- MAZI NNAMDI KANU’S ALLEGATION AGAINST IGWE OGBUNIKE AND THE PRESIDENT GENERAL OF OGBUNIKE.

The good people of Ogbunike are petrified with shock on the postulation of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu ” That the Igwe Ogbunike in collaboration with the President General of Ogbunike, sold a communal land to the Fulanis , which invariably shall help the latter in their unholy and besmirchful quest to fulanize/annex the territorial territory of Ogbunike”.

This despicable and denigrateful allegation is not only mendacious, but a repugnant to reality and we fervently believe, that it’s only a compound fool, people devoid of scruples and delusional simpletons that can patronize or believe such heart sequestrating allegation.

It is imperative and instructive to note, that Ogbunike Community has no communal land and neither do the Igwe Ogbunike and the President General have any power of attorney to access or sell for themselves or on-behalf of the good people of Ogbunike, any land owned by the villages, kindreds, families or individuals;

It is pretty on record too, that Ogbunike has never recorded such development in her history and will never witness same.

Consequently, we humbly and respectfully request the general public to disregard the poisonous allegation and explications made to that effect by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The world should take notice, that the good people of Ogbunike repose impeccable confidence in our beloved Igwe and our vision driven President General and to this respect, regret profoundly the embarrassment Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s fallacious allegation may have caused our highly venerated Igwe Ezedioranma of Ogbunike and our ebullient, amiable and dependable President General, whose character, general dispositions, conduct, generosity of spirit, tact, sagacity and legendary pedigree is beyond expression and very commendable.

We equally deemed it incumbent to advice Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to desist from the culture of assassinating innocent peoples character with reference to his unfounded and unverifiable allegation against our beloved Igwe and our dependable President General.

Ogbunike truly deserves an OPEN APOLOGY from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for the unguided utterance and brazen display of unmoderated recklessness and he should tow the path of honour by doing the needful as regards the DESERVED OPEN APOLOGY.

SIGNED: OGANIRU OGBUNIKE.

COMMENTS:

In as much as I agree with Nnamdi Kanu on so many areas, I never believed this statement yet because am still waiting to conclude my investigations on it.
MNK may have said so many things in his course for actualising the biafra dream which many have been confirmed real and truth but there few things which didn’t happen the way he may have said them.
I will be very glad at last he is proven wrong on this because our land is calm and peaceful. We don’t want chaos at all.
If there is any plan towards such act…Please I beg the people concerned to retract there steps because We Youths of Ogbunike will resist it totally.

I disagree with you hoo-haa
Nnamdi Kanu cannot say a thing like this unless the act is in the plan or taking place without your knowledge.
In this survival game, a lot is going underground.

  1. There is no communal land in Ogbunike…all our lands has being shared according to (Umunnas)that made up villages….And Igwe or the PG do not have say to any land out of his ummunna.
    I think what made MNK lied accusation was becoz President Buhari Mourned the late Igwe who was an INLAW to late Sen.Dr chuba Okadigbo who happened to be a Presidential running mate to President buhari years back.

  2. Let us reserve our comments, and wait for our brother Nnamdi’ s reaction on this open latter .
