Lizzy Anjorin, Taiwo Adegboye and Governor Adeleke

It was recently that a popular actress, Lizzy Anjorin was alleged of stealing a Gold by claiming to fake the alert of payment for the Gold she bought at a Gold Shop in Oba Akintoye Market, Lagos Island where she was molested to the extent of directing her to sit on the floor by her traducers and only God saved her life from jungle justice at the said market on the day.

On the fateful day, Lizzy Anjorin was traumatized on the allegation she claimed to know nothing about but the social media was littered with the video clips of the incident which makes her enemies to be making jest of her in the film industry and the society at large over the controversial incident.

But she fought back when out of the scene of dastard incident by insisting that she knew nothing about the accusations and it was set up by her enemies that used the accusers.

Immediately, she reported the incident to the Police in Lagos State and the men of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Lagos State did not waste the time to swift into the action by arresting no fewer than six(6) traders at the market where Lizzy Anjorin was wrongly accused of stealing their Gold.

It was not the first time, a socialite would be accused of such act, a Musician promoter in the street of Lagos called Seun Egbegbe was accused of such act at a Computer Village market in Ikeja area of Lagos State which investigation by the security agents, proved the conduct of such action by Egbegbe beyond reasonable doubt before Lagos Magistrate Court in Lagos, which made him to serve years of jail term in prison(now Correctional Center) then, after which he was released and the dastard act ended career of Seun Egbegbe till today in the society at home and abroad.

Meanwhile, the Six(6) of the eight (8) traders were charged for allegedly assaulting and blackmailing Lizzy Anjorin before a Chief Magistrate Court in Tinubu axis of Lagos Island Local Government area of the State.

The names of those arraigned before Magistrate A. A. Paul, were; Qudus Jokogbola; Suru Olawale; Edu Shakirat; Fausat Mohammed; Kafayat Ahmed and Opere Simiat Morenike and other two suspects were said to be at large to make them eight (8), alleging them of committing an offence of breaching the public peace, wrong accusations, defamation of character and character assassination against the famous actress,Lizzy Anjorin.

Arraigned them before the Court, the Police Prosecutor, Sola Samuel, informed the Court that all the six individuals and two others said to be at large, conspired among themselves and forcefully pushed and dragged Lizzy Anjorin, the action that caused her grievous bodily harm.

He told the court that the offences committed by the defendants contravened sections 411 and 413; 168(d) and 170(b) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015. And punishable under the same Act.

The defendants denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against them before the Magistrate Court.

Following their stance on the allegations, the defendant lawyer, Ade Oshodi, who led the other six lawyers, informed the court that his clients were traders, urging that they be granted bail in the most liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Paul, in his ruling, admitted each of the defendants to bail in the sum of N200 000, 00 with one surety in likely sum, saying that the sureties must be residents of Lagos State with evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State government, among others.

Paul, however, ordered that all the defendants be remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS), till when they will meet the bail terms and adjourned the case to March 11, for mention.

Unlike Lizzy Anjorin, a deposed monarch in Osun State, one Mr. Taiwo Abdulrasaq Adegboye, who had been at the centre of the allegation of forgery of no fewer than nine (9) documents/minutes for his illegal and purported appointment as new Alawo of Awo recently, expected to fight back against his accusers.

Being at the epicenter of the alleged forgery saga, the expectation of all and sundry in Osun State and beyond was that Adegboye would fight back like Lizzy Anjorin to clear his name of the forgery scandal by informing the security agents to investigate those behind his accusations of forgery scandal on Alawo Chieftaincy Stool by making them to face the wrath of the law.

But reversed was the case by just keeping quiet, which tantamount to the admissibility of the weighty allegations of forgery scandal leveled against deposed Adegboye. And to the surprise of all and sundry including Nigerians at home and abroad, Taiwo Adegboye could not do like Lizzy Anjorin to call for the arrest and possible prosecution of the members of human rights organization, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) which has behind the allegation of forgery scandal leveled against him(Adegboye).

Also, expected from deposed Adegboye to attach to such petition to security agents in the land, were the Certified True Copies of all the original documents different from the one peddling around against his person by the members of the human rights body which attached to his Expression of Interest Form Number:000000114 and Selection Minutes being orchestrated, upon which the State Government under which former Governor Gboyega Oyetola relied on to erroneously approved his illegal appointment and subsequent installation as new monarch in Osun State on September 13th,2021 before the Appeal Court removed, sacked, dethroned and deposed Taiwo Adegboye on 8th day of August, 2022.

Although, Gboyega Oyetola’s Government which was bamboozled to appoint Adegboye wrongly and illegally, had cleared his Government through his spokesperson, Alhaji Ismail Omipidan that once the Appeal Court, Akure Judicial Division through its landmark Judgement dated August 8th,2022, nullified Adegboye’s appointment and subsequent installation, his then Government took restrain from having any dealing with deposed Adegboye again before they left office in November 2022.

Believing that the successive administration of Ademola Adeleke would follow the same path by instituting an unbiased and credible investigation into the alleged forgery scandal and not knowing that the Adeleke’s administration would be the protector of illegality.

But it was a surprised that the current administration of Ademola Adeleke just disregard the said Appeal Court Judgement on the subject matter by relating with deposed Adegboye as monarch in Osun State because of believing political inuendos.

Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to make the matter worst, turned himself and his Government to the protector and defender of forgery scandal leveled against deposed Adegboye by refusing to direct the security agents to investigate the mind-boggling allegation against deposed Adegboye as requested by the well meaning Nigerians, particularly, the human rights organization (CHRSJ),in order to know the truth of the whole scenario but instead, Adeleke gave Adegboye State coffer to be parading himself as new Alawo of Awoland unlawfully.

Even, after it was confirmed to Adeleke that the Appeal Court sitting in Akure had sacked and deposed Taiwo Abdulrasaq Adegboye as new Alawo of Awo, Governor Ademola Adeleke still directed his elder sister, Mrs. Modupe Adeleke Sanni and her husband, Mr Aderemi Sanni to be conferred with the Honourary Chieftaincy Titles by illegal, sacked, dethroned and deposed Taiwo Adegboye illegally and also recently, through the State Government White Paper released on the Chieftaincy Review Panel, Adeleke continued shielding deposed Adegboye from being investigated from criminal allegations of forgery scandal by security agents and also giving him (deposed Adegboye) the State protection in contrary to Section 187(2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.
