Nigerian Islamic preacher in Kano state, identified as Abdulmutallab Mohammed Auwal, has urged all his Muslim brothers and followers to consider the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his teaching, he said that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the presidential candidate is a call to Jihad which is why all Muslims should vote for him.
The Islamic cleric made the charge during a prayer session organized in Kano state for the success of the former governor’s presidency. The meeting was convened by different groups of Islamic preachers and 75 Muslim groups, including the Kaduna State Izala and the Jos (Plateau state) Izala, the Salafiya, Kadariya, IMWAN, Muslims in Da’awa, Women in Da’awa.
He said that the Tinubu/Shettima’s Muslim/Muslim ticket had defined the supremacy of Islam in the country and the ticket has honored Islam that is why they need to honor it with their votes.
Abdulmutallab Mohammed Auwal added that it is not about promises that will bring dividends, democracy, and development of roads and infrastructure, but it is an honor to Islam.
“The import of today’s sitting is to let the clerics and indeed all Muslim leaders know that the Muslim/Muslim ticket is not about mere promises of bringing dividends of democracy like road and infrastructure. This ticket is about the supremacy of Islam. This ticket has honored Islam. Therefore, we’ll honor it with our ballots”
