MY UBTH EXPERIENCE – I have a bag full of injections.

I took a patient to UBTH few days ago at the emergency centre. She was attended to after two hours of Waiting. This was an emergency and the patient had to wait for two hours.

We didnt have to choose becos it was 2am. The summary is the doctor gave me a list of expensive injections to buy with the intention of admitting her. Just about an hour later the patient got better and was ready for discharge.

One of the factors was that patients kept coming and there were limited beds so they had to discharge the ones getting better.

The Dr called me and said ur patient is getting better and should be discharged. So this is the list of drugs she needs to take at home so go and get them and return the injections.

I went straight to UBTH pharmacy where they told me the injections I bought about an hour ago can’t be returned or converted to drugs.

I had to buy the set of drugs and now I have a bag full of injections with me at home. I was forced to buy what I won’t use.

Thanks to UBTH management.
