Nasty C: ‘I’m best rapper in Africa’

South African hip-hop artiste, Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, aka Nasty C, has claimed that he is the best rapper in Africa.

The ‘Zulu Man With Some Power’ crooner stated this in a recent interview with Glitch Africa where he said: “I am not the biggest rapper in Africa. Am I the best rapper in Africa? I think so.”

During the interview, he also listed M.I, Olamide, Phyno, Odumodublvck, and Blaqbonez as his top 5 Nigerian rappers.

He noted that the list was a personal favourite.

Earlier, Nasty C has said that hip-hop might have taken the backseat in mainstream music now but it will never die.

Speaking in an interview with Glich Africa, Nasty C said, “I don’t think rap or hip-hop will ever die, man. It’s more than just music. It’s more than just a sound. It’s a way of life; it’s a culture.

“It might take the backseat, you know what I mean. Fresh sounds are very important to keep the culture alive. You know what I mean? As Africans we are very diverse, man. We’ve all these different sounds that we need to take out to the world so that they understand that we are super talented. So, hip-hop will take the backseat for a little bit but it will never die. Trust me.”
