Akanji Nurudeen Akorede: About my visit to Engineer Adedeji Doherty

Judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court on the 2023 presidential election. – Lagos PDP Sides with Atiku on seeking redress at Supreme court.

The leadership of the Lagos state Peoples Democratic Party – PDP affirmed it’s support to the decision of the party Presidential candidate to seek redress at the supreme court over the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition court on the 2023 presidential election.

We believe the judgement lack merit because the following were not considerably looked into in delivering the judgement.

  • Management of the election by the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, needs to be addressed to avoid unenviable precedents which the courts did not address.

  • The deployment of technology and the gain that should have attributed to that which was heavily compromised by INEC and eventually rendered free and fair elections devoid of human manipulations unattainable was also not addressed by the court.

The above remains our standing point and have restored our believe that the Supreme court would do justice to the case of our party and our presidential candidate which inevitably was the rightful winner of the election.

We believe the judiciary system will reinstate it’s value by adjudicating on the compromisation of the electoral rules and INEC manipulations and rule in favour of our candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the 2023 presidential elections.

Thank you.

Hon. Soji Orioye
State Secretary
Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party – PDP
