ONITSHA – A group known as TRADERS VANGUARD FOR DR GODWIN MADUKA (TVGM) was on Friday, the 16th of October, 2020 inaugurated to champion the cause of good governance in Anambra State.
Members of the group, which comprise traders at Ose market, Onitsha, trooped out in their numbers to welcome the State Chairman, Mr Ifeanyi Nzeka, who arrived the venue of the inauguration with a high powered delegation.
In a welcome address, the Vice chairman of Ose Chapter of TVGM, Mr. Chikadibia assured the visiting State chairman of their unalloyed support for the cause and pledged their total loyalty in the bid to elect Dr Godwin Maduka, as the next Governor of Anambra State.
Furthermore, the Vice chairman hinted those present at the meeting, that Dr Godwin Maduka was the best candidate in the upcoming Anambra election, considering the fact of his pedigree and what he has been able to achieve in his community, Umuchukwu and other neighbouring communities.
According to him, judging by popular opinion, “there’s no doubt that Dr Godwin Maduka’s mandate is turning to a massive movement of Anambra people and it is going to be unstoppable”.
In his speech, the State Chairman TVGM, Mr Ifeanyi Nzeka urged members to give the organization their full support and charged them to make sure they turn the name Dr Godwin Maduka to a musical rhyme, based on the fact that this would be one candidacy that will set Anambra State on a pedestal ,in terms of all round development and begged them to work so hard for a resounding victory come November, 2021.
According to him, “there is this belief that Dr. Maduka will bring his experience to bear on state craft and change the narrative in governance”.
In his speech, one of the members of the Chairman’s delegation, Mr. Chikezie commended the group for their organization, punctuality and enthusiasm for Dr. Godwin Maduka and particularly for good governance. He charged them to remain steadfast, urging them not to be swayed by materialism, because this time presents an opportunity to launch Anambra state as one of the most respected states in Nigeria. He further challenged them to make out time and pay a visit to Umuchukwu with a view to having a firsthand knowledge about the infrastructural development Dr. Godwin Maduka brought to his hometown Umuchukwu and how he intend to repeat such feat in Anambra state.
High point of the inaugural meeting was swearing in of members of TVGM by the state chairman, Mr. Ifeanyi Nzeka.
