Distinguished leaders and members of the Lagos State PDP, my name is Akanji Nurudeen Akorede from AJEROMI/IFELODUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT. Today is January 16th, 2023. I had a visit with Leader Engineer Adedeji Doherty, also known as DD, at his office located at 10 degrees in IKEJA.
I pray that Leader Enginner Adedeji Doherty receives the guidance of the Almighty God and that He guides him wherever he may go.
I am here to address the leaders and members of our party who are unaware of how the funds for the 2023 election were shared. I urge them to thoroughly investigate before passing judgment on DD.
It is disheartening to see leaders who received money and have remained silent while members insult Leader Engineer Adedeji Doherty regarding the last 2023 general election. Leader Engineer Adedeji Doherty has provided an explanation and evidence of how the 2023 general election funds were distributed, along with the signatures of the leaders who received money from him. It is disappointing to see those who received money for positions such as House of Representatives and House of Assembly remain silent without speaking up.
Leader Engineer Adedeji Doherty is a man of honor and dignity. I urge the leaders and members of Lagos PDP to refrain from insulting Leader Engineer Adedeji Doherty and instead consult with him regarding the distribution of the 2023 election funds. He has recorded all the leaders who collected money for House of Rep, House of Assembly, and Senatorial elections with their signatures.
My esteemed leaders and members of Lagos PDP, please note that Engineer Adedeji Doherty did not embezzle the 2023 election funds as everything has been duly recorded.
Although I have verified that my local government chairman received money with his signature, he claims that he did not receive any funds from Engineer Adedeji Doherty. Today, I have thoroughly reviewed the list of individuals who received money with their signatures.
If we continue down this path, it will be challenging for Lagos PDP to take control. The leaders entrusted with distributing election funds have diverted the money.
