No fewer than eight (8) persons including a deposed monarch in Osun State, Mr. Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq, a Lawyer, Mr. Olamiposi Egbedinni (+23438676491&08130613550) with four(4) officials of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, Osun State and two(2) others, were dragged before the anti-graft Commission, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) by the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice(CHRSJ) over alleged forgery scandal in respect of selection of new Alawo with the sole aim of obtaining monthly allocation from the government coffer through fraud.
This is just as the rights group disclosed that Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq(+2348035163991) and his co-travellers forged no fewer than nine(9) documents to mislead the State Government under former Governor Gboyega Oyetola to approve his( Adegboye) appointment as new Alawo of Awo on 13th of September,2021, which the Appeal Court had nullified on 8th of August, 2022 through its landmark Judgement.
The group also stated that the forged documents were ranging from forged selection documents, falsification of dates of birth, identity theft of Notification of Results and NYSC Certificates and host of other documents attached to Expression of Interest Form Number:000000114, by Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq, calling on the Chairman of the anti-graft Commission to conduct thorough, credible and unbiased investigation on the subject matter for possible prosecution of the culprits.
The human rights body listed the names of the officials of Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State that conspired with Adegboye as; the Council Manager (C.M.),Mrs. Abiola Felicia Olabimtan(+2348034350362),Head of Administration ( HoD),Mrs. Ajibike Akinade (+2348064625901), Senior Administrative Officer (SAO),Mrs. Aina Adelu (+2347063920646) and Administrative Officer (AO) Adiyeloja (+2348034271655), with other two(2) persons as; Adegboye Rasheed (+2348034350362) and Alhaji Hamzat Abidoye Gboyelade.(+2347038257120/+2347017105353)
CHRSJ explained that the aforementioned Senior Staff of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, that claimed to be an observers to forgery selection documents,were acted in contrary to Sections 15(5),24(a),172,209, and Fifth Schedule,Part (1)1,8,9,11(1),12,13, and 18(1,3,6,7) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( as amended) in consonance with Chapter II(15) of the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
It added the anti-graft Commission should invite the aforementioned officials of the Local Government in Osun State for questioning on the subject matter through an invitation Letter to the Permanent Secretary, Osun State Local Government Service Commission (OSLGS),Government Secretariat, Abeere, Osogbo.
The rights group further insisted that all the processes that led to the purported appointment and illegal installation of Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq as new Alawo on the 13th of September, 2021 by the Osun State Government, was faulty as due process was not followed, hence, Adegboye was a product of fraudulent process, flagrant disobedience to Court Orders and judgement, falsification of age, identity theft of educational certificates, perjury, fake and forged selection documents and therefore, should not be allowed to hold the office of Alawo of Awo, Osun State, Nigeria.
It would be recalled that the Appeal Court, Akure Judicial Division had earlier nullified the illegal selection/or election, appointment, approval and subsequent installation of Adegboye as new Alawo by Osun State Government, through its landmark Judgement dated 8th day of August, 2022 by stopping Adegboye from wearing any insignia or parading himself as new Alawo henceforth.
Earlier, the group had called on the State Government under Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to investigate the alleged forgery scandal by respecting the Appeal Court Judgement of Akure Judicial Division on the Stool but to the surprise of all and sundry, Governor Adeleke was planning to present the Staff of Office to Adegboye on December 9th,2023, in flagrant disobedience to Appeal Court Judgement by giving nod to confer illegal Honourary Chieftaincy Title on the Governor Adeleke’s elder sister,Mrs. Dupe Adeleke Sanni and her husband, Mr. Aderemi Sanni.
Also, the group had earlier forwarded a Petition Letter dated Monday 27th of November,2023, to the Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly to investigate the alleged forgery saga that was ranging from falsification of age, perjury, identity theft of another person Certificates, forgery of selection documents/minutes, and other fake and forged documents attached to Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq’s Expression of Interest Form Number:000000114, insisting that the allegations were weighty to be swept under the carpet and the Assembly comprises of representatives of the good people from the State Constituency of the State, should constitute a panel of investigation team to unravel the whole truth of the saga in order to save Ademola Adeleke’s Government from being an accomplice.
This was contained in a press statement signed by CHRSJ’s Assistant General Secretary (AGS), Pastor Michael Agassi and copies were made available to newsmen on Monday,declared that a Petition Letter has been forwarded to the Chairman of ICPC in order to prevent deposed new Alawo from drawing monthly salary from government purse illegally in respect of Appeal Court Judgement.
Pastor Agassi who urged the anti-graft Commission to write Osun State Government and Egbedore Local Government, Awo, Osun State not to allow the deposed Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq has any access to public fund until the Supreme Court of Nigeria,says otherwise on the subject matter and if they do otherwise, they have violated section (15) sub- section (5) of the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which they are liable to prosecution and imprisonment.
According to the Petition Letter reads thus,” More over Sir, the position of the Supreme Court of Nigeria,is cleared in the case of PDP & 2 Ors. V. Biobarakuma Degi-Eremieyo & 3Ors.-SC.1/2020. And the position of the Apex Court of the land,is also cleared without any ambiguity in line with Sections of the amended 1999 Constitution succinctly stated that a person shall not be qualified for election/or selection to the position of authority, “ if he has presented a forged certificate to the Umpire .” and Section 467, Criminal Code Act (Nigeria) states that; “Any person who forges any document, writing, or seal, is guilty of an offence which, unless otherwise stated, is a felony, and he is liable if no other punishment is provided, to imprisonment for three(3) years.
“As a human rights organization with respect for the rule of law as stipulated in the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and criminal code that the criminal action can be instituted against any comitter at anytime except those who elected into the Executive positions in the Country where they are covered by Section 308 of the amended 1999 Constitution pending the time of expiration of holding such an office.
“The Supreme Court of Nigeria has also declared that it is trite principle of law to obey the order of the Court as contained in the case of ABACHA V. FAWEHINMI (2002)2 SCNQR 489 at 546 thus :”…. It is the law that a decision of a Court of competent jurisdiction,no matter that if seems palpable null and void, unattractive or unsupportable, remains good law and uncompromisingly binding until set aside by a superior Court of competent jurisdiction”.
“Lastly Sir,we will conclude this Petition Letter with the imperishable statement that Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq is a desperate office seeker who is only interested in self serving, and does not mind if the entire Awo community goes up in flames,so long as his own nest is fested.Of course, history is replete with cases of Princes who have destroyed their kingdom for selfish aggrandizement”, CHRSJ submitted.

ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ, a deposed new Alawo of Awo because he still parading himself as new monarch of the town by subjecting the ancient town of Awo to a big disgrace and laughing stock among the comity of the communities in Osun State nay Nigeria. Attached is the Certified True Copy of the Enrollment of Judgement of the Appeal Court of Akure Judicial Division dated 8th August,2022, which sacked and deposed the beneficiary of the forgery documents, ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ from the Stool of Alawo as EVIDENCE (1).
It is to bring to your NOTICE that ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ could not have carried out the FORGERY action without the aiding and abetting of the few Staff of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, and in particular,the Secretary, ABIOYE Ruling House/Compound, Awo, Osun State. Alhaji (Prince) Abidoye Hamzat Gboyelade/Prince (Alhaji) Hamzat Abidoye/Hamsat Abidoye who is claiming different signatures on the same documents using for illegal selection/ or election, appointment, approval and subsequent installation of ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ with the sole aim of withdrawing monthly salary from the allocation of the State and Local Government fraudulently if not nip in the bud by the Appeal Court Judgement, which CHRSJ wants your anti-graft agency to investigate the criminal aspect of the subject matter for possible prosecution of the culprits.
It is also to bring to your NOTICE that the PARTICULARS of FORGERY DOCUMENTS was discovered through all the documents attached by ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ to his Expression of Interest Form Number: 000000114, in respect of Alawo Stool which he used to mislead the Osun State Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Government Secretariat,Abeere, Osun State to appoint him as monarch illegally.
The documents also submitted to Osun State High Court,Ede Judicial Division to get favourable judgement in Suit N0: HED/26/2020.

Sir, all these Certified True Copies of aforementioned documents were attached by Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq to his Expression of Interest Form Number: 000000114, to fill the vacant Stool of Alawo of Awo, which Egbedore Local Government, Awo, would have been paying him Five percent (5%) out of the monthly Allocation of the affected Local Government in Osun State.
We wish to further informed your authority that Honourable Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq and his cohorts forged all these documents by misleading the State Government of Gboyega Oyetola to earlier approved his appointment with forgery documents before the Appeal Court Akure Judicial Division, through its landmark Judgement dated 8th day of August, 2022, dethroned him.
And also, Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq forged all the aforementioned documents in his own favour and as well sitting at the comfort of his room in the year 2020 and writing the SELECTION MINUTES credited to Abioye Ruling House/Compound, Awo,because of his position then(2020) as Legislative Leader of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, without minding the legal due process attached to the selection of the new monarch in our legal society.
Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq as public office holder then acted in Contrary to Section (15) sub-section (5) that , ‘The State shall abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of power’ and anyone who encourages corruption in any form, deserve no honour.
Although, Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq are still parading himself as new Alawo after the Appeal Court Judgement with the same aforementioned forgery documents which necessitated this Petition Letter to your anti-graft agency for THOROUGH,CREDIBLE and UNBIASED investigation and possible criminal prosecution of the culprits.

Moreso, we also want your anti-graft agency to help our human rights organization to investigate the identity of the owner of these names on the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo’s Notification of Results of National Diploma (ND) with Reference N0: SO1/MKT/2003/0354,awarded on 31st August,2005 and obtained on 10th August,2006 respectively and Higher National Diploma (HND) with Reference N0: SO1/ MKT/2003/0354,awarded on 31st July,2008 and obtained on 14th of November,2008 respectively and as well obtained Certificate of National Service of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) awarded on 19th of November,2009 and these are not having any bearing of identity of ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ identity, thereby making it identity theft of Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate of another person.
It is very unfortunate that according to the claim of Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq,was that he changed his name from ‘ABUDULIE’ to ‘ABDULRASAQ’ after obtained the acclaimed NYSC Certificate by bearing ‘ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE’ to obtain West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) in 2001 with Candidate No:4291121006 & Certificate No:NGWASSCS 2682561, National Diploma (ND)in 2005, Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2008 and NYSC Certificate in 2009 but changed his name to contest for Alawo Stool from “ABUDULIE’ to “ABDULRASAQ” and which means he does not know his real ‘MUSLIM’ name before he sat for WAEC, went to Polytechnic and as well observed a year MANDATORY National Youth Service Corps(NYSC).This is smelling to be a pure issue of another criminal forgery with identity theft by Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq and the real owner of the name and WAEC-SSCE CERTIFICATE, Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate bearing ‘ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE’, while the present person who is illegally vying to occupy the stool of Alawo of Awo is bearing “ADEGBOYE KEHINDE ABDULRASAQ” because the twins brothers look alike. “THIS IS A BIG IDENTITY THEFT OF THE YEAR?”
Even, the Polytechnic Notification of National Diploma (ND) Result and Higher National Diploma (HND) Result awarded and obtained at different years respectively bearing the same Reference N0: SO1/MKT/2003/0354, which implies that Adegboye Taiwo Abudulie(ABDULRASAQ) was admitted to study both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) by Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo, Ondo State, at the same year of 2003.

It is our believe that the ICPC would perform its legitimate and constitutional duty without fear or favour, no matter whose ox is gored to unveil the criminal tendency of the culprits.
In view of the above,these are the names of the persons involved in the dastard act of FORGERY of SELECTION DOCUMENTS, and other illegalities in respect of Alawo Chieftaincy Stool as contained in this PETITION LETTER as follows:

Recently, a five- man panel of the Supreme Court of Nigeria sacked a Federal Legislator from Benue State for Certificate forgery, Honourable Justice Sidi Bage, who read the lead judgement spoke a soothing language of hope, that ;”Allowing criminality and Certificate forgery to continue to percolate into the streams ,waters and oceans of our national polity/Chieftaincy Stool,will only mean that our waters are and will remain dangerously contaminated. The purification efforts must start now and be sustained as we seek as a nation,to now change from our old culture of reckless impunity.
Justice Bage went further: ” The Nigerian Constitution is supreme. It desires that no one who has ever presented a FORGED Certificate to an umpire should contest election (selection) into the any elective office (including Chieftaincy Stool office in this regard). This is clear and sacrosanct.
Bage stressed further that the message is simple, we are bound to continue to fail as a nation if we do not sanitize our political/traditional institutions by fearlessly getting rid of those individuals whose actions have become our development albatross.
However, the fate of many Nigerians has been strengthened by the strong and firm declaration and reassurance of the Apex Court of the Land that has come down hard on those consciously slowing down our development through forgery, falsification, perjury and other related offences.
This is high time to name and shame anybody who involved in forgery of documents to occupy a position of authority like subject matter of this PETITION LETTER by just robbed other contender as COMMON CRIMINAL.
It is very unfortunate that some certain elements like acclaimed Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq to be entrusted with Chieftaincy Stool, indulge in forgery, perjury, identity theft and falsification of age and these are ordinary citizen that should be leading by an example of what a good society should be.

Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq perpetrated all these evil acts of FORGED Selection Documents, Identity THEFT of Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate, FALSIFICATION of Age, and other dastard act in respect of SELECTION, ELECTION,APPOINTMENT,APPROVAL and SUBSEQUENT INSTALLATION of new Crown Prince for the Alawo Chieftaincy Stool, all in the name of desperation to outsmart the second contender for the STOOL in person of Comrade (Prince) ADENIYI ALIMI SULAIMAN, the Executive Chairman, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ).
As a human rights organization with respect for the rule of law and as stipulated in the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and criminal code that the criminal action can be instituted against any COMITTER at anytime except those who elected into the EXECUTIVE positions in the Country where they are covered by Section 308 of the amended 1999 Constitution pending the time of expiration of holding such an office.
Sir, we want the Commission to write the Osun State Government and Egbedore Local Government, Awo, Osun State not to allow the deposed Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq has any access to government fund until the Supreme Court of Nigeria, says otherwise on the subject matter and if they do otherwise, they have violated section (15) sub- section (5) of the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which they are liable to prosecution and imprisonment.
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has also declared that it is trite principle of law to obey the order of the Court as contained in the case of ABACHA V. FAWEHINMI (2002)2 SCNQR 489 at 546 thus :”…. It is the law that a decision of a Court of competent jurisdiction,no matter that if seems palpable null and void, unattractive or unsupportable, remains good law and uncompromisingly binding until set aside by a superior Court of competent jurisdiction”.
Lastly Sir,we will conclude this PETITION LETTER with the imperishable statement that Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq is a desperate office seeker who is only interested in self serving, and does not mind if the entire Awo community goes up in flames, so long as his own nest is fested. Of course, history is replete with cases of Princes who have destroyed their kingdom for selfish aggrandizement.
In the light of foregoing, the Centre humbly request for the prompt intervention of your good office on the subject matter.
Once again, CHRSJ reposes its implicit confidence in your capability to expedite necessary ACTION in a JIFFY, based on your track record as unbiased Legal Luminary that earned your recent appointment as ICPC boss in the land that you will ensure the FAIR PLAY and JUSTICE are done for the citizens of the Country in respective of ethnicity, religion, class and tribe.
