A deposed new Alawo, Mr. Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq and seven (7) others including Osogbo based legal practitioner, Mr. Olamiposi Egbedinni (+2348038676491& +2348130613550), have been dragged before the Police authorities for alleged submission of no fewer than nine (9) forged documents for screening exercise during the process of selecting and appointing new Alawo of Awoland after the reign and death of immediate past Alawo of Awo, Oba Musa Olatunbosun Adebayo,the Akinsilo II.
Others which were alleged to be accomplice of Adegboye in the forgery scandal were four(4) senior officials of Egbedore Local Government, Awo,Osun State and two elder brothers of Adegboye,listed their names as; the Council Manager (C.M.),Mrs. Abiola Felicia Olabimtan(+2348034350362),Head of Administration ( HoD),Mrs. Ajibike Akinade (+2348064625901), Senior Administrative Officer (SAO),Mrs. Aina Adelu (+2347063920646) and Administrative Officer (AO), Adiyeloja (+2348034271655), with Mr. Adegboye Rasheed (+2348034350362) and Alhaji Hamzat Abidoye Gboyelade.(+2347038257120/+2347017105353).
However, alleged Osun State Government under Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke of planing to precipitate communal crisis in the ancient town of Awo in Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State by giving nod to confer illegal Honourary Chieftaincy Title on her Elder sister,Mrs. Dupe Adeleke Sanni and her husband, Mr. Aderemi Sanni by deposed Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq on 9th of December,2023.
They urged the Police boss to swift into an action by deploying men of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to take over the proposed venue(Alawo Grammar School,Awo) of the illegal Coronation Anniversary, urging the security agent not to allow any event to take place in the said venue in order to save the community from any mayhem and communal crisis that could lead to breaking down of law and order in the ancient town of Awo.
The human rights body, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice(CHRSJ) which authored the Petition Letter to the authority of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on behalf of a member and Crown Prince of Abioye Ruling House/Compound,Awo,Prince Abubakar Adeniyi, requesting for thorough, credible and unbiased investigation on the subject matter, urging the Police boss to use his good office to help the good people of the ancient town of Awo nay Osun State in line with Sections 214 and 215 of the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to unravel the identity of those who behind the forgery of selection documents/minutes, falsification of dates of birth, identity theft of Notification of Results, NYSC Certificate with other fake and forged documents attached to Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq’s Expression of Interest Form Number: 000000114, for the purpose of filing the vacant Stool of Alawo of Awo in Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State.
It also requested from the Police authority and other security agencies to stop the proposed illegal Coronation Anniversary of deposed new Alawo,Mr. Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq which was slated to hold on Saturday 9th of December,2023,in respect to Appeal Court Judgement of Akure Judicial Division that sacked and dethroned Adegboye from parading himself or performing any function as new Alawo in order to avoid communal crisis that could lead to mayhem in the ancient town of Awo.
Supporting its argument with the Supreme Court of Nigeria that it is trite principle of rule of law to obey the order of the Court as contained in the case of ABACHA V. FAWEHINMI (2002)2 SCNQR 489 at 546 thus :”….It is the law that a decision of a Court of competent jurisdiction,no matter that if seems palpable null and void, unattractive or unsupportable, remains good law and uncompromisingly binding until set aside by a superior Court of competent jurisdiction”.

And Registered Trustees, Apostolic Church Vs Olowoleni(1990) 6 NWLR (Pt 158) at 537-538,Nnaemeka- Agu,JSC, explained the law this: “….. Once parties have turned their dispute over to the Courts for determination,the right to resort to self-help ends. So, it is not permissible for one of the parties to take any step during the pendency of the Suit which may have the effect of foisting upon the Court a situation of complete helpnessness,or which may give the impression that the Court is being used as a mere subterfuge,to tie the hands of one party while the other party helps himself extra- judicially. Both parties are expected to await the results of the litigation and the appropriate order of Court before acting further…In The Military Governor of Lagos State v Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu ….., the Supreme Court gave its stamp of approval to the principle,inter alia,that once the Court is seized of the matter,no party has the right to take the matter into its own hands…..
The same principle applies in this case,mutatis mutandis, notwithstanding the fact that the offending party in this case is a church organization.They are subjected to the rule of law, and are expected to obey the law. Once they submitted the dispute to the court,they ought not to have done nothing which gave the impression that they are trying to pre-empt the decision of the Court. They could no longer, pending the determination of the suit,resort to self-help by erecting the fence wall without an order of the Court. To have done so amounted to lawlessness…”
The Centre which forwarded the Petition Letter to the Police authorities including; Inspector General of Police (IGP),Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, the Chairman, Police Service Commission (PSC), Chief Solomon Arase,the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone XI, Osogbo,Osun State Commissioner of Police, Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Awo and Director-General, State Security Service (SSS) and State Director,State Security Service (SSS) and Executive Secretary,the National Human Rights Commission(NHRC), requesting for thorough, credible and unbiased investigation into the allegation of submitting nine (9) forgery documents to State and Local Government in the State for the purpose of participating in the Government selection process of selecting new Alawo.
The group disclosed that the Petition Letter forwarded to the security agencies, calling on the security agencies to embark on the investigation into the alleged forgery of nine (9) documents by Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq and his cohorts for possible prosecution of all the culprits.
According to the Press Statement by the CHRSJ’s Media Office which was signed by its Assistant General Secretary (AGS) and copies were made available to newsmen on Wednesday, believing that the the security personnel would perform its legitimate and constitutional duty on the subject matter without fear or favour and no matter whose ox is gored to unveil the criminal tendency of the culprits for possible prosecution and imprisonment.

ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ, a deposed new Alawo of Awo because he still parading himself as new monarch of the town by subjecting the ancient town of Awo to a great stigma and laughing stock among the comity of the communities in Osun State nay Nigeria. Attached is the Certified True Copy of the Enrollment of Judgement of the Appeal Court of Akure Judicial Division dated 8th August,2022, which SACKED and DEPOSED the beneficiary of the FORGERY and FALSIFICATION of DOCUMENTS, ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ from the Stool of Alawo as Evidence (1).
It is to bring to your NOTICE that ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ could not have carried out the FORGERY action without the aiding and abetting of the few Staff of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, and in particular,the Secretary, ABIOYE Ruling House/Compound, Awo,Osun State. Alhaji (Prince) Abidoye Hamzat Gboyelade/Prince (Alhaji) Hamzat Abiodoye/Hamsat Abidoye who is claiming different signatures on the same documents using for illegal selection/or election, appointment, approval and subsequent installation of ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ with the sole aim of withdrawing monthly salary from the allocation of the State and Local Government fraudulently if not nip in the bud by the Appeal Court Judgement, which CHRSJ wants the FORCE to investigate the criminal aspect of the subject matter for possible prosecution of the culprits.
It is also to bring to your NOTICE that the PARTICULARS of FORGERY DOCUMENTS,FALSIFICATION of AGE and IDENTITY THEFT were discovered through all the documents attached by ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ to his Expression of Interest Form Number: 000000114, in respect of Alawo Stool which he used to mislead the Osun State Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Government Secretariat,Abeere, Osun State to appoint him as monarch illegally.
Another FORGERY SELECTION DOCUMENTS also submitted to Osun State High Court,Ede Judicial Division to get favourable judgement in Suit N0: HED/26/2020 as Exhibit BO3.
PARTICULARS OF FORGERY are different thumbprint impressions and signatures on the SELECTION DOCUMENTS, FALSIFICATION of dates of birth, identity THEFT of Polytechnic Notification of Results and PERJURY before the Court, which was used for illegal selection, election, appointment, approval and subsequent installation exercise on the subject matter. The evidential documents attached to proof this PETITION LETTER beyond reasonable doubt,are highlighted below;

-The Certified True Copy of another Covering Letter with the same Reference N0:ELG.396/T/28B,dated 24st August,2020 and with another thumbprint impression, signatures, typing characters, Received Stamp with signature and also claimed to be signed by one Mrs. Olabimtan F. Abiola, the Council Manager for Chairman, Egbedore Local Government,Awo with another attachment of Selection Minutes in favour of Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq formulated by Adegboyes as Exhibit B03 tendered in Suit N0: HED/26/2020, as EVIDENCE (4).
-The Certified True Copy of the Bond to Prosecute Appeal with Appeal N0:CA/AK/58/2021on Suit N0: HOS/84/2020, with acclaimed different signature of the Secretary, Abioye Ruling House/Compound, Awo, Osun State ,as EVIDENCE (5).
-The Certified True Copy of the Affidavit of Statutory Declaration of Age dated 15th day of December,1999 deposed by one Rasheed Adegboye,the Senior Brother of Adegboye Taiwo,made from the Federal High Court, Osogbo Judicial Division, that Adegboye Taiwo was born on the 10th day of October,1980,attached to Expression of Interest Form N0:000000114 as EVIDENCE (6).
-The Certified True Copy of the West Africa Examination Senior School Certificate (WAEC-SSCE) of June 2001 with Certificate Number: NGWASSCS2682561, belonging to Adegboye Taiwo A. that was also born on another date of 8th day of August,1979 as embossed on the Certificate,attached to Expression of Interest Form N0:000000114, as EVIDENCE (7).
Sir, all these Certified True Copies of aforementioned documents were attached by Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq to his Expression of Interest Form Number: 000000114, to fill the vacant Stool of Alawo of Awo, which Egbedore Local Government, Awo, would have been paying him Five percent (5%) out of the monthly Allocation of the affected Local Government in Osun State.
We wish to further informed your authority that Honourable Adegboye Taiwo Rasaq and his cohorts forged all these documents by misleading the State Government of Gboyega Oyetola to earlier approved his appointment with FORGERY and FALSIFICATION DOCUMENTS and IDENTITY THEFT of Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate, before the Appeal Court, Akure Judicial Division, through its landmark Judgement dated 8th day of August, 2022, dethroned him.
And also, Adegboye Taiwo Rasaq forged all the aforementioned documents in his own favour and as well sitting at the comfort of his room in the year 2020 and writing the SELECTION MINUTES credited to Abioye Ruling House/Compound, Awo,because of his position then(2020) as Legislative Leader of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, without minding the legal DUE PROCESS attached to the selection of the new monarch in our legal society.
Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq as public office holder then acted in Contrary to Section (15) sub-section (5) that , ‘The State shall abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of power’ and anyone who encourages criminality in any form, deserve no honour.
Although, Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq is still parading himself as new Alawo after the Appeal Court Judgement with the same aforementioned FORGERY SELECTION DOCUMENTS and FALSIFICATION of AGE and IDENTITY THEFT of Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate which necessitated this PETITION LETTER to your anti-criminal agency for THOROUGH,CREDIBLE and UNBIASED investigation and possible criminal prosecution of the CULPRITS.

Moreso, we also want your anti-criminal Force to help our human rights organization to investigate the identity of the owner of these names on the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo’s Notification of Results of National Diploma (ND) with Reference N0: SO1/MKT/2003/0354,awarded on 31st August,2005 and obtained on 10th August,2006 respectively and Higher National Diploma (HND) with Reference N0: SO1/ MKT/2003/0354,awarded on 31st July,2008 and obtained on 14th of November,2008 respectively and as well obtained Certificate of National Service of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) awarded on 19th of November,2009 and these are not having any bearing of identity of ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ, thereby making it identity THEFT of Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate of another person of ‘ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE’.
It is very unfortunate that according to the claim of Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq,was that he changed his name from ‘ABUDULIE’ to ‘ABDULRASAQ’ after obtained the acclaimed NYSC Certificate by bearing ‘ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE’ to obtain West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) in 2001 with Candidate No:4291121006 & Certificate No:NGWASSCS 2682561, National Diploma (ND)in 2005, Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2008 and NYSC Certificate in 2009 but changed his name to contest for Alawo Stool from “ABUDULIE’ to “ABDULRASAQ” and this suspicious of identity theft which means he does not know his real ‘MUSLIM’ name before he went to the Polytechnic and as well observed a year MANDATORY National Youth Service Corps(NYSC).This is smelling to be a pure issue of another criminal forgery with identity theft by Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq and also show that his late twins brother was the real owner of the name and WAEC-SSCE CERTIFICATE, Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate bearing ‘ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE’, while the present person who is illegally vying to occupy the stool of Alawo of Awo is bearing “ADEGBOYE KEHINDE ABDULRASAQ” because the twins brothers look alike. “THIS IS A BIG IDENTITY THEFT OF THE YEAR?”
Even, the Polytechnic Notification of National Diploma (ND) Result and Higher National Diploma (HND) Result awarded and obtained at different years respectively bearing the same Reference N0: SO1/MKT/2003/0354, which implies that Adegboye Taiwo Abudulie(ABDULRASAQ) was admitted to study both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) by Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo, Ondo State, at the same year of 2003.

-The Certified True Copy of Certificate of Service of National Youth Service Corps obtained on 19th November,2008 and also awarded on 19th November,2008 with NYSC/RD/OWO/08/350353, attached to Expression of Interest Form N0:000000114 as EVIDENCE (13).
Sir, the fundamental question now is that who is bearing ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE and ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABDULRASAQ?
It is also pertinent to know the Local and State Government Origin claimed by the owner(ADEGBOYE TAIWO ABUDULIE) of this National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND)Notification of Results awarded and obtained from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo Ondo State, from this institution so as to affirm whether the person is from ancient town of Awo in Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State or not.
It is our believe that the FORCE would perform its legitimate and constitutional duty without fear or favour, no matter whose ox is gored to unveil the criminal tendency of the culprits.
In view of the above,these are the names of the persons involved in the dastard act of FORGERY of SELECTION DOCUMENTS, and other illegalities in respect of Alawo Chieftaincy Stool as contained in this PETITION LETTER as follows:

(2). Alhaji(Prince) Hamzat Abidoye Gboyelade(+2347038257120/+2347017105353), Secretary, Abioye Ruling House/Compound, Awo,Osun State- Perpetrator of the FORGERY of SELECTION DOCUMENTS with different signatures in favour of Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq.
(3). Mr. Adegboye Rasheed (+2348034350362), a Senior Brother to Adegboye Taiwo of Abioye Ruling House/Compound,Awo,who deposed to Affidavit of Statutory Declaration of Age of Adegboye Taiwo on 15th day of December,1999 at the Federal High Court, Osogbo Judicial Division.
(4).Mrs. Abiola F. Olabimtan (+2348032249644),Council Manager (C.M.), Egbedore Local Government, Awo, Osun State- OBSERVER of FORGERY SELECTION DOCUMENTS with different signatures and thumbprints.
(5). Mrs. M.A. Akinade (+2348064625901),Head of Administration(HoD), Egbedore Local Government,Awo, Osun State- OBSERVER of FORGERY SELECTION DOCUMENTS with different signatures and thumbprints.
(6). Mrs. Aina Adelu(+2347063920646), Senior Administrative Officer(SAO), Egbedore Local Government,Awo,Osun State- OBSERVER of FORGERY SELECTION DOCUMENTS with different signatures and thumbprints.
(7). Mr. Adiyeloja(+2348034271655) , Administrative Officer (AO), Egbedore Local Government, Awo,Osun State-OBSERVER of FORGERY SELECTION DOCUMENTS with different signatures and thumbprints.
(8). Mr. Olamiposi EGBEDINNI(+2348038676491& +2348130613550)- Lawyer aidding and abetting, forgery and other criminal acts for Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq.
Sir, the aforementioned Senior Staff of Egbedore Local Government, Awo, acted in contrary to Sections 15(5),24(a),172,209, and Fifth Schedule,Part (1)1,8,9,11(1),12,13, and 18(1,3,6,7) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( as amended) in consonance with Chapter II(15) of the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The aforementioned officials of the Local Government could be invited for questioning through an invitation LETTER to the Permanent Secretary,Osun State Local Government Service Commission (OSLGS), Government Secretariat,Abeere, Osun State,so,for them to be produced for the anti-criminal Force.
More over Sir, the position of the Supreme Court of Nigeria,is cleared in the case of PDP & 2Ors. V. Biobarakuma Degi-Eremieyo & 3Ors.-SC.1/2020.
And the position of the Apex Court of the land,is also cleared without any ambiguity in line with Sections of the amended 1999 Constitution state succinctly that a person shall not be qualified for election/or selection to the position of authority, “ if he has presented a forged certificate to the umpire.” and Section 467, Criminal Code Act (Nigeria) states that; “Any person who forges any document, writing, or seal, is guilty of an offence which, unless otherwise stated, is a felony, and he is liable if no other punishment is provided, to imprisonment for three(3)years.”
Recently,a five- man panel of the Supreme Court of Nigeria sacked a Federal Legislator from Benue State for Certificate forgery, Honourable Justice Sidi Bage, who read the lead judgement spoke a soothing language of hope, that ;”Allowing criminality and Certificate forgery to continue to percolate into the streams ,waters and oceans of our national polity/Chieftaincy Stool,will only mean that our waters are and will remain dangerously contaminated. The purification efforts must start now and be sustained as we seek as a nation,to now change from our old culture of reckless impunity.
Justice Bage went further: ” The Nigerian Constitution is supreme. It desires that no one who has ever presented a FORGED Certificate to an umpire should contest election (selection) into the any elective office (including Chieftaincy Stool office in this regard). This is clear and sacrosanct.
Bage stressed further that the message is simple, we are bound to continue to fail as a nation if we do not sanitize our political/traditional institutions by fearlessly getting rid of those individuals whose actions have become our development albatross.
However, the fate of many Nigerians has been strengthened by the strong and firm declaration and reassurance of the Apex Court of the Land that has come down hard on those consciously slowing down our development through forgery, falsification, perjury and other related offences.
This is high time to name and shame anybody who involved in forgery of documents to occupy a position of authority like subject matter of this PETITION LETTER by just robbed other contender as COMMON CRIMINAL.
It is very unfortunate that some certain elements like acclaimed Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq to be entrusted with Chieftaincy Stool, indulge in forgery, perjury, identity theft and falsification of age and these are ordinary citizen that should be leading by an example of what a good society should be.
Moreover, Honourable Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq perpetrated all these evil acts of FORGED Selection Documents, Identity THEFT of Polytechnic Notification of Results and NYSC Certificate, FALSIFICATION of Age, and other dastard act in respect of SELECTION, ELECTION,APPOINTMENT,APPROVAL and SUBSEQUENT INSTALLATION of new Crown Prince for the Alawo Chieftaincy Stool, all in the name of desperation to outsmart the second contender for the STOOL in person of Comrade (Prince) ADENIYI ALIMI SULAIMAN, the Executive Chairman, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ).
As a human rights organization with respect for the rule of law and as stipulated in the amended 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and criminal code that the criminal action can be instituted against any COMITTER at anytime except those who elected into the EXECUTIVE positions in the Country where they are covered by Section 308 of the amended 1999 Constitution pending the time of expiration of holding such an office.
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has also declared that it is trite principle of law to obey the order of the Court as contained in the case of ABACHA V. FAWEHINMI (2002)2 SCNQR 489 at 546 thus :”…. It is the law that a decision of a Court of competent jurisdiction,no matter that if seems palpable null and void, unattractive or unsupportable, remains good law and uncompromisingly binding until set aside by a superior Court of competent jurisdiction”.
So, if the State Government under Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke would do any coronation in this respect,the Apex Court,that is Supreme Court of Nigeria should have allowed to say otherwise on the subsisting Appeal Court Judgement in respect of Alawo Chieftaincy Stool.
Lastly Sir, we will conclude this PETITION LETTER with the imperishable statement that Adegboye Taiwo Abdulrasaq is a desperate office seeker who is only interested in self serving, and does not mind if the entire Awo community goes up in flames, so long as his own nest is fested.Of course, history is replete with cases of Princes who have destroyed their kingdom for selfish aggrandizement.
Sir, this is to refer your good office to our LETTER dated Friday 10th of September,2021 and reminder LETTER dated Tuesday,26th April,2022 on the same subject matter for your office immediate intervention where AIG Zone 11, Osogbo,had ordered INSPECTOR TIMOTHY SANDRA (+2348036273200), attached to Criminal Investigation and Intelligent Department(CIID) of the Zonal Command, Osogbo. The Copy of the PETITION LETTER dated Friday 10th of September,2021, attached as EVIDENCE (14).
But to our surprise,after the POLICE obtained the STATEMENT of the Complainant, in person of Prince Abubakar Adeniyi, INSPECTOR TIMOTHY SANDRA just put the investigation under the carpet for no just reason than the suspicious of something has exchanged from the hand of aforementioned suspects. The present PETITION LETTER had contained no fewer than six(6) additional evidences to proof this matter beyond reasonable doubt before any Court of competent jurisdiction in the land.The Copy of Reminder PETITION LETTER dated Tuesday 26th of April,2022, attached as EVIDENCE (15).
We also want to inform your good office that the outcome of the POLICE INVESTIGATION on the subject matter, would be tendered as part of the EVIDENCES in the Suit N0:HOS/84/2020 and the case still ongoing before the Osun State High Court, Osogbo Judicial Division.
In the light of foregoing, the Centre humbly request for the prompt intervention of your good office on the subject matter.
