Anambra 2025: “Politicians who promise only one term in office cannot be trusted”

Yes. No one takes politicians who are promising only one term in office seriously. They cannot be trusted. This is because we have seen cases in the past where Nigerian politicians have made such promises and failed to follow through. Such politicians are dishonest, and deceitful, and cannot be relied upon.
When a politician promises to serve for only one term in Anambra state, it raises serious concerns about their motivations. It suggests that they are more concerned with their interests than the well-being of the Anambra they are supposed to serve. This is a worrying trend that we should all be aware of.
For instance, during the 2021 gubernatorial elections, Chief Obaze of PDP and Mr. Tony Nwoye of APC promised to complete Obiano’s second term, but they were never given a chance because the people knew they wouldn’t follow through on this promise. Additionally, some politicians in the Labour Party and APC are already promising to complete Governor Soludo’s second term for the turn of Anambra South in 2024. We all know it is a scam.
However, we should be wary of politicians who make promises they cannot keep. One-term promises are no exception, and we should advise our politicians to be sincere in their ambitions and actions.
