It was tragic on Wednesday, 12th September as two persons died on clash with Nigeria Police due to the death of an Okada man, in Awkuzu, Anambra state.

The clash between the Nigeria Police and members of the Awkuzu community was due to the death of a well known Okada man.

News have it that the young man was riding a motorcycle in the night and was hit by the police van while evading arrest, resulting in his losing control of the bike thereby leading to his death.

Outside book, it was learned that another person whose identity could not be ascertained was gunned down during a protest at Nteje Police Station over the death of the motorcyclist.

Efforts to speak with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area proved abortive, also the State Police Command in Awka is yet to respond to enquiries.
