ASETU gives order for Bush Combing in South East.

The Association of South East Town Unions (ASETU), an umbrella body of all the town unions in the South-East geopolitical zone has given orders for active combing of bushes in South East.

In a statement signed by it National Secretary, Hon. Gideon Adikwuru, the group says everyone in South East should embark in active bush combing to ensure there are no “aliens occupying them.”

The ASETU also added that this process should be done weekly.

See statement below –

BUSH COMBING:

Following the suggestion of Chief Chikwe on Bush Combing of our forests, which was an agenda actually discussed at the last National Caucus Meeting of ASETU, all Autonomous, Development and Town Unions in the South East are hereby enjoined to, as a matter of exigency, embark on serious and thorough combing of the bushes and forests within their communities to ensure that there are no alliens occupying therein.

This exercise should not be a one-off event: it should sustained, and repeated every two weeks as the case may be.

Kindly ensure that your community participates in this exercise in order to ensure vigilance and rid our forests and communities of unwanted elements.

Thanking you in anticipation of your commitments.

Hon. Gideon Adikwuru
Nat. Sec., ASETU.
