BE THE REASON YOUR PARTNER BELIEVES IN LOVE

Many people do not believe there is something called love; some think marriage is a scam while others believe relationships are just business. All these people have a valid reason or ground for such a position or belief. Their last experience of love, relationship or marriage gave them such beliefs.

The truth is, true love exists, marriage is real and good and there are healthy relationships where partners seek for the interests, needs and wellbeing of each other. Relationships don’t just happen, they are built. The fact that you had a bad experience with someone in the past does not mean every relationship will end as such.

Learn to give the people you love room and support to become what God created them to be. Whatever they are created to be, give them wings to fly. Identify the potentials they have, empower and encourage them to pursue that. Don’t let your fear or insecurity get in between your relationship.

If you cannot be wings for your partner to fly with but your action rather limits them and makes them depend on you for everything, then your relationship is not a loving relationship but slavery.

Be a home they can come to no matter where they travel or fly to. Create a safe space or environment they can always come to. Be a partner they can always talk to on anything. A place devoid of violence and abuse. Your words and arms should bring comfort and not pain.

A place they feel protected and cared for. Make time to resolve conflict and maintain peace. Be there for them, a shoulder to lean on, arm to carry them. Love them the way they are instead of trying to change them into your Ex or your crush. The way you treat them will make them stay with you. And when they do, you become the reason they believe in love, you become a reason they want to marry.
