In respect to the  fulfillment to his promise to his constituency, Senator. Chimaraoke Nnamani representing Enugu East Senatorial District has sponsored the 2020 WAEC registration fee of all the female WASSCE candidates in his constituency.During his recent campaigns, the senator pledged to support the proliferation of girl child education in his constituency.

Cost of WAEC registration totaling Fifty-Five Million, Six Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty Naira (N55, 674,450) at N13, 950.00 per candidate has been duly footed by the senator to the last kobo as the Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Agwu has directed her team to go ahead and generate pins for the enlisted candidates.

According to reports, 68 schools benefited with the total number of the female candidates pegged at 3, 991 a tally with the 68 Bank Drafts raised in favor of WAEC submitted to the WAEC, Enugu Zonal Office on 23rd January 2020.

Speaking to on-ground reporters in Edem community, a parent expressed her joy at the new development reiterating the sleepless night she had endured in the past months trying to raise WAEC fee for her first daughter. She further encouraged other persons in political offices to emulate Sen. Nnamani.
