The chairman IYCON Group Industry Limited and founder of IYCON Foundation, Mr. Ifeanyi Ekwulugwo has extended his benevolence to Umuada, Umuezeana Nnofor Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra State.

In his bid to cushion the hardship occasioned by the lockdown announced by the state government in other to contain the impact of the dreaded coronavirus, the IYCON Foundation has decided to distribute a bag of rice to each Umuada.

Umuada or Umuokpu are all daughters of Umuezeana Nnofor, Otolo Nnewi that are married both within and outside the shores of Nnewi community.

The distribution was done by Mr. Ifeanyi Ekwulugwo’s foundation in his home town Nnewi.

It would be recalled that Mr. Ekwulugwo recently shared relief materials and ten thousand naira each to all Okpuno Otolo Nnewi women at the early stage of the mandatory lockdown.

It was gathered that he also instructed the management of foundation to make proper arrangements for delivery of the palliative ( bags of rice) to Umuoada that could not be able to show up due movement ban placed by the government.

He also pleaded with all well meaning Nigerians to give charity to people living around them at this critical and challenging time no matter how meager.

He regretted the attitude of some youths in Anambra State indulging in peaceful demonstration as a result of hardship occasioned by the lockdown and he went pleading on well to do Anambraians to extend palliative to people around them.
