Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has revealed that if he were to work in a field outside of music right now, he would choose real estate because it is lucrative.
He also added that he is currently building a mansion for himself and his wife, Chef Chioma, at the highbrow Eko Atlantic city, Lagos.
The music star disclosed this while appearing on the latest episode of Drink Champs podcast co-hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN.
Davido said if he were to work in a field outside of music right now, he would choose real estate because it is lucrative.
He said, “Real estate right now, I will say in Lagos. People have really been building some new dope infrastructures. Yeah, a very good investment, I’m telling you.
“You can buy a place for like $1.5 million…But you sell it for like $4 million. I will tell you, it is a very good investment. My new house I’m building now, for me and my wife, is by the beach; it’s at Eko Atlantic [city]. It’s quiet dope. A lot of good buildings. Amazing.”
Davido’s Banana Island mansion was recently put up for sale as the singer reportedly moved out with his wife.
Meanwhile Davido has has reacted to a death wish by a Twitter user.
A Twitter user @Winco_3 while sharing a six seconds video of music performance on Twitter had taunted that Davido’s burial can’t be crowded like the clip of the event he shared.
He wrote: “Even Davido burial that would be free can’t pack this crowd. Know your mate.”
Reacting to the user in a post on his Twitter handle on Sunday morning, Davido queried him for wishing him dead.
While quoting the tweet, Davido asked “So u want me to die? Reason being? What have I personally done to you to have you wish death on me. Anyways I’m not going anywhere! I WILL LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
“If nobody wants to talk I WILL. you guys will hurt the wrong person one day. Not everybody is strong and can take it for years like I’ve done! Me no send but one day these people will hurt the wrong person.”
