How we Paid PHCN for Disconnecting Our Light

Since I was a child I have always known of reconnection fee being paid to Nepa or PHCN, but this week my compound paid disconnection fee.

It all started when we heard that there would be some installation made at the already prepared power line behind my street. They have not even dreamt of the installation but they came to disconnect the light. So we were forced to stay for 4days without power supply.

Then they came after that with the bill which we paid but their condition was that we pay N2000 reconnection fee which we also did.

There was power supply for another 2 days but after that the group for the installation came and explained that the copper wires for the installation will affect our own wire so it has to be disconnected.

Oya Oga disconnect na, problem. They said it is not their job to disconnect but they will help us if we pay them else they will use the steels meant to be installed to destroy our own wire.

After our IGG (intial GraGra) we paid them to disconnect, funny right, but we paid, the problem now is the installation is almost complete and I am hearing rumors that we are going to pay another reconnection fee for us to have power supply again.
