The Seventh (7) Edition of the Annual Igala Nations Cup Football Competition in the Eastern Flank of Kogi State has entered Semi-final after Four teams emerged from the group stage.

In Group A, Golden Boys Fc of Igalamela and Idah Fc of Idah Local Government Area emerged as the two top teams after a competitive first round.While In Group B, Adale Fc of Egume, Dekina LGA and Super Stars Fc of Ofu both made it to the last Four

Golden Boys Fc of Igalamela Fc who topped Group A will meet Group B runners up Super Stars Fc of Ofu on Saturday 15th July 2023 in the first Semi-final clash while Group A runners up Idah Fc will lock horns with Group B table topper Adale Fc of Egume, Dekina the next day Sunday 16th July 2023 to determine who makes it to the final of the Seventh Edition. Both Semi-final clashes with take place at the Buffalo 🦬 Pitch of the Federal Polytechnic Idah.

Director Technical Of the Competition Coach Abubakar Kamar Olachene told Sport Writers on phone from the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos venue of the Maiden Naija Super 8 Competition that So far so good the Group stage which has been concluded has been quite eventful due to the discovery of some young vibrant, talented, gifted and Skillful players who have been penciled down for Igala United Fc.

“It has been an eventful Group Stage, though tasking but we thank God that it went down hitch-free and successful. We are now moving on to the Semi-final stage from Saturday and our Fans, Supporters and Soccer loving Populace of Kogi East should expect another good moments of Football artistry as we have put all necessary arrangements forward to ensure a smooth Final.”

This year’s edition is going to witness an upward improvement in the prizes for winners, runners up and other players who distinguish themselves during the Competition.
