Ilebaye: I will give N12 million to my church

Big Brother Naija All-Stars edition winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, has said she would give N12 million to her church as 10% tithe from the N120 million prize money she won from the reality TV show.

 

Ilebaye, a 22-year-old Kogi State-born actress and model, beat five other finalists to emerge winner of the Season 8 BBNaija reality TV show on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

She was days later presented with with a cheque for N120 million grand prize and a brand-new car at the prize presentation ceremony.

IIebaye has now said she would give part of the money to her church to express gratitude to God for her victory.

 

She disclosed this while fielding questions from fans over the weekend.

“Once the N120 million gets to my account, I won’t buy anything; I will give my tithe to God to thank him for the grace he gave me,” Ilebaye stated.

 

Also, Ilebaye Odiniya, aka Baye, has claimed timidity might be why her fellow housemates disregarded her during her reign as the Head of House of the just concluded reality show.

The housemates did not fully cooperate with Ilebaye during her tenure as the Head of the House in week 9 which made them lose their wager task that week.

However, she went on to win the reality show and walked home with N120 million and a brand new car.

Fielding questions from fans during an Instagram live session, Ilebaye claimed her colleagues may have disregarded her during her reign as Head of House because they were “intimidated” by her.

She said, “I really don’t know why housemates disrespected and didn’t have regard for me during my tenure as Head of House. I just felt maybe they were intimidated.”

 

Meanwhile, Maria Ude Nwachi, a former member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and former technical assistant on New Media, specifically Facebook, to immediate past vice president Yemi Osinbajo has won the Pulse Africa Facebook Influencer of the Year Award.

She was nominated along with MC Mbakara and others.

Nwachi grabbed the highest number of votes, joining the list of total number of 21 awardees.

 

At the award ceremony, she was unavoidably absent and picked her plaque through a representative.

With the theme “The Golden Era – Bold & Elegant”, the Tivoli Garden in Ikoyi, Lagos played host to the influencer industry for the awards’ third edition on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

It took place simultaneously in all Pulse Africa markets in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Organisers say the Pulse Influencer Awards is dedicated to celebrating the digital creativity, innovation, and community-building efforts of influencers.

Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Bella Okagbue and Tacha Akide, and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, were also awarded at the 2023 edition of the Pulse Influencer Awards.
