Kosofe APC leaders: Tinubu is the answer in 2023

Tinubu Identified Himself As Woman While Seeking US Admission

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders from Kosofe sub-zone, Lagos State, have drummed support for the presidential ambition of the National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Governance Advisory Council (GAC) members, who witnessed the rally organised by the Tinubu Support Group at Ojota, described the former Lagos State governor as the most competent person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

Eminent leaders, including Senator Tony Adefuye, Senator Seye Ogunleye, one-time Finance Commissioner Wale Edun, Chief Akanni Seriki and House of Representatives member Prince Rotimi Agunsoye said Tinubu would resolve the challenges confronting the country.

Agunsoye, who convened the meeting, said Tinubu had paid his dues, adding that he would be a good president. The chieftains also endorsed him (Agunsoye) for another term in the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly.

However, the leaders noted that many people were yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), warning that lack of the cards would disqualify them from voting.

When Edun asked those who had collected their cards to raise up their hands, the leaders were surprised that half of those at the rally had not registered with the electoral commission.

Urging them to obtain their PVCs, the GAC member assured them that their support for Tinubu and APC would not be in vain.

Edun, who hailed the resilience of Kosofe people, said it is the turn of the Southwest to produce the next president and only Tinubu, who knows the way, can fit into the role.

He said the party leaders were assiduously campaigning for Tinubu because they knew that he would empower youths.

Ogunlewe lamented that while six million registered to vote in the last election, only one million voted, adding that the voting pattern must change in 2023.

Acknowledging the attempts by other likely aspirants from the Southwest, the former Works Minister said Tinubu was the most competent and experienced leader to vie from the Southwest.

Epe APC leader Seriki advised the people to register to vote and also maintain their support for Agunsoye.

Adefuye said those from Southwest jostling for the APC ticket were groomed by Tinubu, adding that they could not turn round to oppose the man that raised them to stardom.
