London charity organisation helps in fixing Akwa-Ukwu road.
Remember the erosion site
at Oraifite-Nnewi road that has caused both motorists, tricyclists and other users palpable nightmare?
The road in question is currently receiving urgent attention and the one individual who is single handedly coming to the rescue, is no than the MD/CEO of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Ven. Barr. Amaechi Dubem Okwuosa and he is doing that in conjunction with his international charity organisation, *New Bethel Christian Centre*, based in London.
Before now, the people of Oraifite, Ichi, Akwa-Ukwu and other neighbouring communities find it difficult connecting Nnewi, for their day to day activities, as a result of the bad state of the road caused by heavy flooding.
ABS Correspondent, Valentine Mbadugha who was on ground to monitor the project progress, reported that work was ongoing it was all smiles for the motorists,
tipper drivers, okada riders and many others who ply the only major
road linking Nnewi and Oraifite.
Road users interviewed, like Mr.
Godwin Okopi, Mr. Thaddeus Ede and Mr. Godwin Ubabuko, all commend and appreciated Ven. Barr. Amaechi Okwuosa, for coming to their
rescue.
The ACTDA supremo who had visited the site recently to inspect the project, revealed that he embarked on the project with support from his London based charity organisation, to aid Government effort on making Anambra State.
Earlier while inspecting the ongoing project, the benefactor and the
managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority,
Venerable Amaechi Okwosa, said that he embarked on the project with
the help of his London based charity organization to assist the state
government in giving Anambra State a befitting status.
The road is now accessible to motorists and other users, as more work continues.
As one will say, may God bless Nigeria the more so we can keep having people with this kind of great mind, who wants to make life for the masses without being in politics yet.
