Nigerian singer and rapper, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji better known as Olamide has unfollowed everyone on Instagram as clocked 33 on March 15.

 

Recall Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji in January also unfollowed everyone on Instagram.

 

Olamide, who is one of the finest Nigerian rapper and YBNL boss has 9 million followers and currently following none. Although the reason for doing so on his birthday remain unclear to internet users.

Undoubtedly, Olamide is one of the most successful Nigerian singer and has used his fame to influence the growth of young music artistes and makes them prominence in the Nigerian music industry.

 

Some of the past and present artistes that has past through the YBNL records include; Lil Kesh, Viktoh, Chinko Ekun, Adekunle Gold, Xino, Davolee, Lyta, DJ Enimoney, Ololade Asake, B.Banks, Fireboy DML among others.



Also, Singer Olamide has Eleven albums to his name, Nine of which are studio albums and 3 of which are collaborative albums and EP’s. Olamide hinted retirement after the release of his 12th studio album titled “Unruly”.

He recently spoke of retirement.

 

Baddo hinted this in a tweet on Saturday, February 5, 2022; saying he would retire after his 12th album, though the father of three also refused to disclose the release date for his 12th album.

 

He simply said: “Next Album = #Unruly 95% ready, Release date = I don’t know. Taking my time to make it the best ever… probably my last album.”



Olamide stressed that if and when he retires, he would still be actively involved inc resting music and sounds as he would release singles once in a while.

 

“I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it…,” he said.

 

The YBNL boss also acknowledged his success saying, “it’s been a mad ass run! giving albums back to back.
